Here is a step-by-step guide!
Step 1: Level up and obtain Bright/Illuminated Engrams.
Step 2: Visit Tess and decrypt those Engrams.
Step 3: Dismantle everything you get from those Engrams to obtain Bright Dust.
Step 4: Rinse and repeat Steps 1 to 3 to save up as much Bright Dust as you want.
Step 5: When you see the Shaders/Sparrow/Ghost/Emote/Transmat/Ship/Ornament/Cosmetic Armor you want, spend Bright Dust.
BONUS STEP: Every week, you get the Well-Rested buff, which levels you up decently fast (at least one Engram per day for casual play). Use this as your gauge for Bright Dust grinding.
There is no compulsory obligation to purchase a single unit of Silver for anything from EV. If you want Dawning items, grind Dust for Dawning items. That's it.
EDIT: lol got 'em again. It's so easy to draw you all into a frenzy. You are all getting upset over digital items that have no gameplay value beyond making your character look different. It's hilarious reading each and every comment, because you all think that a microtransaction segment of the game, that actually has no impact on the game whatsoever, is far more important than any problem the game actually has. It's pathetic, really.
This forum is a joke and should be treated as such until it gets its collective shit together and starts acting like the "hardcore community" it claims to be. All I see are whiny children who are just in it to get rewarded.

6 RepliesSo you’re calling other people pathetic because they got riled up about something you said is ignorant, pointless, and meant to rile people up? That’s the only pathetic thing here, being a hypocrite, making you the childish fool that you’re announcing everyone else here to be. You’re talking down to people like they’re less, but you doing no differently than they do other than being a douche, makes you the lesser person. How low is your self esteem that you went and did that? Go to a therapist since you’re that close to killing yourself. Either that or go kill yourself because you shouldn’t be alive just to be a jackass. How boring is your life that you pass the time being a jackass? Again, either go to a therapist to better yourself or kill yourself for the definite greater good. How little credibility do you have to have to feel the need to point out the faults in others to rile them up and keep their attention off of you? Get a college degree since what you say means nothing. Of course you should start at preschool first though. Do you have any credibility in anything you’ve ever said or will say after this forum? Is your life so boringly empty that you resort to this for below minimal entertainment? Is your self esteem so low that you have to call other people pathetic to make yourself feel just significant enough to not end it all? If not, then you haven’t shown as much and should grow up and not be bickering over how other people show grow up and not bicker. But if so, you should just kill yourself because no one would miss you. No one here with an intact Brain would argue differently. Your motives are so unclear if you have any, that trying to figure out your point would be like learning Shakesphere while looking through a kaleidoscope. People write to either persuade, inform, or to entertain others, but you haven’t done anything like that, so everything you’ve said means nothing. Despite what you say meaning nothing, you post something anyway, with no end goal, accuracy in what was said, and only intent on doing reasonless harm without cause. Forums are supposed to help people, but instead you’ve helped turn it into something that doesn’t help anyone including yourself, and just using it to harm others who are trying to go about their lives. Why bother living a life like that? You’re the perfect example of pathetic. The hypocrisy in what you’ve said makes you the biggest child in here. Your time and life mean so little to yourself and others, that you pass the time being a douche. You’re like a Black Widow, not being of use anywhere in the world, just living to do harm without cause. Like how the illiterate who use swearing as a pathetic last resort being stupid, nobodies like you being condescending makes you less than others, and that’s truly pathetic. Get a life, loser.

4 RepliesEdited by Enochua: 12/29/2017 6:35:36 AMThe problem is so much more than just the gear that is gotten from playing and earning. But from the fact that the game doesnt have enough meaningful useful gear. armor is a joke, classes are a joke, guns are a joke. Nothing is beneficial to the player. Everything is watered down. Everse is just getting the brunt of the communities back lash cause we see that it is pointless for it to even be there if the gear has no real purpose. Also what people have a problem is with the fact that we shouldn't be gambling for random gear but should be able to buy things out right. If it is for sell then sell it, not make us gamble to see if we get what we want. And the fact that it is deliberately aimed at children and conditioning them to gamble.

8 RepliesFriendly reminding that you can buy a random thing that you have no power of choosing what that is and 100% useless and a waste of your time and money. #DeathToLootBoxes

1 ReplyEdited by KayOsS882: 12/29/2017 6:27:12 AMI think you're missing the point. People play mission, strikes, raids, trials, and crucible to try to get good loot such as exotic ghost, exotic sparrows, exotic ships, etc... It's a reward for doing these stuff. But what's the point of playing this game if youre just going to spend money to buy it! There is no incentives to play all these activities. No s nose accomplishments. I've stopped playing this game, but I stand on the side of the players who are being bamboozled by bungie. If anything, I would urge players to stop playing the game all together. What's the point of complaining but then turn around and play the game?

Great post. The place is full of whiny little morons who want everything for nothing. I really wish they would actually go and play something else rather than spend day after day after day bitching about their entitlement quota not being high enough. Just piss off already and be done with it.

Friendly reminder: This is another denial post.

2 Repliesi love it when dumbasses get called out and then they have to come back and pretend they were just trolling like a troglodyte instead of just admitting they were wrong like any human with even half a brain or a missing chromosome would do

6 RepliesIs it really that hard to understand? It's not really the micro transactions or the bright engrams themselves that are the problem. It's all the loot that is in them. In a game that is lacking end game content, lacking incentive to play existing end game content, instead of adding 50 reasons to beat the raid, nightfall or go flawless in trials they dumped 50 items in a loot box in the recent dlc. Every item in Eververse is a missed opportunity to make the game a little more worth playing. And before you say it's just cosmetics, looter games are not just about grinding for the best items, but looking like a badass as well.

The amusing thing is even Bungie identifies "problems" with Eververse, yet we still see guys blindly defending Bungie. Wake up and open your eyes.

27 RepliesAnother pro-Eververse player who doesn't understand THE REAL REASON why Eververse is cancer. Let me give you, a kinderguardian, a history lesson. Back in D1, we used to get ghosts, ships, sparrows and shaders as post-game drops or sold through VENDORS WITH IN-GAME CURRENCY. These items helped extend the grind in activities in order to obtain these items. Now in D2, ghosts, ships, sparrows and shaders are MOSTLY LOCKED BEHIND EVERVERSE, damn near completely taken out of the game as random drops for completing activities. This, on top of static rolls and a lacking end game, basically eliminates any reason to grind activities to try and obtain these items. Now, we are forced to rely on a microtransaction system that ENCOURAGES real-cash purchase of silver thanks to everyone's favorite RNG system and XP throttling (now removed in favor of increasing the XP bar.) Do you kids now see the real problem?

It is taking dev resources away from actual necessary development of a playable game. It virtually wouldn't affect the game negatively if it was suddenly gone. Secondly grinding isn't fun and never has been. Leveling takes forever even with all of the buffs. You should at least feel like you can get one level in an hour. This is one of the worst parts of an MMO and is a cheap way to achieve player retention. Gathering bright dust takes even longer and on top of that things are sold at a higher value than they dismantle into. With no real reason as it is a fictional currency, other than it is related to a real world one and would undermine it. Much like keeping any of this stuff would also undermine it, surprisingly there is a small amount of that. Thirdly the content is seasonal, and people are obligated to waaaay more important things. Getting what you want is near impossible for these people. It feels like you miss out no matter how menial the content is. It's not good game design, and I really feel for those who have plenty of obligations that don't want to feel that way. It just feels bad to participate in on all levels. Though when you really take a step back and look at the big picture that's what is intended and isn't surprising. It's psychological nickel and diming and making the customer feel like they need to pay to feel better. They won't say that obviously, because it is insidious as hell and any rational human knows it. Anyway there's plenty of seriously damning things like, focus tests, and legal patents on this stuff proving it. So why people don't fight back on this is a result of ignorance and lack of respect for oneself. They are fully taking advantage of that. If I may speak on behalf of all of those unhappy with eververse and spamming the internet for its removal and all of the blowback towards bad customer treatment in general. We fully understand, and so just because you can earn things doesn't mean it is good or acceptable. I mean do you apply this logic to the gameplay itself? How many of you complain about super recharge rates? I mean you can get your super so it's clearly not a problem right? Disagreement, especially resulting from blind spite, isn't justification for dismissal so stop doing it. That goes to all of you in general, but right now I am particularly directing it towards those defending Eververse in that way.

Tess must die, time to actually get the cool gear from endgame - not loot boxes, I don't care how much you spent or didn't spend, the fact that the most design work for this DLC went into eververse is pretty despicable. Also you can only get so many engrams, wether it contains 3 shaders worth 30 dust or an exotic ship worth 500 is pure rng so your post still doesn't help.
-
2 RepliesYou're right I'm going to grind for a hundred and eighty three different items locked behind a paywall.
-
How embarrassing this topic is for you.
-
You should apply for a job at Bungie. They seem to favor completely brain dead employees these days.
-
Edited by Swiftlock: 12/28/2017 3:19:02 PMYou're missing the point. The problem is that event content is being put behind an awful RNG microtransaction wall in a game that already struggles with endgame content in the first place. Eververse belongs in a free-to-play mobile game, not a $60 AAA sequel with a season pass. The system can be much more fair. There should be a way for people to just simply buy the item they want with less loot box RNG that only exists as a predatory cash grab.

4 RepliesGo play other games if u still complaining!

If you could get an Exotic Ghost Shell from strikes, you wouldn't run them?

Now tell the truth and say very FEW times can be obtained that way.

Thank you Bungie, for this free to play model in a AAA game that costs 60$ + 120$ for season passz (3year plan remember). & Thank you stranger for being so smart to give us such good advices on how to manage our bright dust, what a champ. *facepalm*

Plus the ghosts and sparrows are all pretty much the same anyways

12 RepliesThis guy is trying to be so clever but little does he know all those steps are meaningless within a 3 week timespan! THEN he goes on to say it doesn't matter if you don't get all the items. It's all about principles and if you can't/don't understand that, you shouldn't be attempting to commune with people.
Friendly Reminder That Eververse Items Can Be Obtained For Free By Playing The Game
Lol, that's not the point. People aren't protesting because they think it's pay to win, or because they think you can't earn it in game. People are doing it because they want actual content to be in the dawning, and they want the loot that's currently in Eververse to be rewards for doing that content.
