Destiny used to be universe now it is just Eververse How designers for Destiny 2 think: “So guys, for Destiny 2: I think we should make players slower and less powerful because everyone wants to feel sluggish and underpowered in their action fantasy. PVE players really enjoy shooting bosses with primaries so we should give them dual primaries and just put all the other fun shit in a third slot. Juggler was a community favorite modifier so we should permanently add that to all activities. The grimoire writing was universally hated and the community felt that the universe it described was too interesting. We should dumb down the story of the sequel as much as possible and make it as cheesy/Hollywood as possible. We did so many things to fix the original destiny by our third year, but players want change. There’s no reason to bring forward any quality of life changes to the sequel. No one wants that shit. Players universally agreed that destiny 1 had too much free loot and that end game activities had too many attached rewards. We can solve this by locking a shit ton of things behind a loot box paywall. People love paying for a game, DLC, and loot boxes, am I right? We’re the best. Great brainstorming session guys.”
