Player Feedback: Masterworks and Modifications

Since the release of [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/Update/46536]Destiny 2 Update 1.1.1.1[/url], we’ve been monitoring player feedback concerning the Masterworks. We’d like to give you a list of items that’s on our list to address. We don’t have a specific date for when these changes would take place, but we’d like to give insight as to what teams at Bungie are aiming to accomplish: [b]Player acquisition:[/b][quote]• We’re implementing a new mechanism that we can use to limit long dry spells in Masterwork drops due to bad RNG. • We will also be looking at adding some guaranteed sources of Masterworks, but we are working on a broader plan to improve prestige activity rewards and it might wait until then. • We’re watching overall drop rates and usage over the holiday and will adjust drop rates and material costs as needed.[/quote] [b]Masterwork Inventory Management[/b] [quote]• We’re planning a fix for Masterwork Cores not going to your postmaster if you’re full on Consumables. • To help prevent accidental loss of Masterwork Cores, we're extending the dismantle timer to give players a larger window to stop the process.[/quote] [b]Stat Bonuses[/b] [quote]• Right now, the stat bonuses are small tweaks intended for players who want to optimize very deeply. We’re watching feedback and are excited to adjust or add more stat bonuses in the future. Once we have more information, we’ll share our plans with you.[/quote] Additionally, the in-game UI currently doesn’t have a good way to show all of the possible stat rolls.   • Ok so..... You release a game that had even less content than Destiny 1. You could easily run through the entire game at release, and hit lvl cap withing 6hrs. Then you drop CoO and that added maybe 4 more hrs if you take it very, very slow. Youve completely ignore virtually every issue that 80% or more of the player base has called you out on unless it was so damming that if you DIDNT touch it you lose almost the entire player base virtually over night ( locking people out of already paid for content, the whole leveling nerf to try and force players into spending money for bright engrams but once you fixed it you upped the xp needed creating a paradox and not truely fixing it at all, and many more) The raid isnt fun, its down right pathetic at best and enraging at worst, the mechanics are highly flawed, the loot is non-existant, it feels like a job, not end game content. This can also be easily said about the new "Raid Lair" as its not worth completeing at all due to the same problems as the actual raid. Nightfalls are also pointless and unrewarding as they are basically heroic strikes, with a timer and damage nerf for players and damage buff for AI which would be fine IF it was actually rewarding to complete. The problem with all if this being not worth it and unrewarding is simply you dumbed down the grind so far even casual gamers are bored with it because its to casual. Before CoO released i was missing 2 exotic weapons (rat king and raid shotgun because nobody wanted to play to help me get them) and had ALL day 1 armor for ALL classes and i dont even have a titan created much less worked on (i did but made it to lvl 3 and just lost interest). Youve made everything so easy to get its pointless, yes it was an attempt to somewhat knock back to massive over grind of D1 but you dumbed it down WAY to much for the majority of items in the game. The "lost prophecy" weapons take the D1 grind to a whole new level. It takes sooooo much time to grind out for them then you get them and they are basically vex-ified reskins, they dont really have any enticing perks, they have basically the same everything as the guns they are reskinned from. Virtually you made them collectors items save for the shotgun which im sure you will probably nerf. As far as weapon/armor setups, ive been using the same setup since i hit level 20, ive had "eye of another world" equiped since it dropped.....as my 2nd exotic after hitting level 20.....the day after the game released. Ive used the "better devils" handcannon since i was able to equip legendaries (save for pvp in which case i used the mida because i suck with handcannons in pvp i wont lie), its the same one that dropped ive kept infusing it to what it is now, i can say the same thing for "uriels gift", and the warlock sword, and nova bomb. The only thing ive changed is armor, and that was for the aestetics, not the perks. Weapon/armor perks mean absolutely nothing. In D1 you would grind for the same gun/armor trying to get the perfect roll that worked for your play style or for either pvp or pve depending on which you prefered more. But in D2 once you get a gun youve got it and no matter how many times you get it, it will never change. So you just rack up on legendary shards until you finally put the engram that xur sells into the game that severely cuts back on duplicate drops which was an absolutely lazy way to fix that issue. Three of coins.....should have never been brought to D2. And i honestly believe you intentionally broke them and cause them to severely cut the exotic drop rate to make players grind more for nothing so that people would think they are actually going after something when they in fact were never going to get it thus increasing play time. Heroic public events are so boring and easy you can do most of them solo which is truely the only way to make it truely "heroic" to begin with. And the sad fact is that heroic public events are more rewarding than ANY OTHER CONTENT IN THE GAME!!!! Thats truely sad. Honestly the only good things i can say abput destiny 2 are that it looks good, sounds good, the gun play is good, it has slightly more story in it than D1, and thats it. The game has a 2.1 star rating on the xbox store with most reviews saying the same thing "dont buy it". You didnt move ANYTHING forward with D2, you moved it all backwards and its going to take A LOT more than these crappy little "oops" patches to fix it. I want D2 to be great, i want it to be what D1 was supposed to be AT LAUNCH, but at tbe current rate youre going, this franchise hell maybe even destiny 2 itself is going to end exactly like EVOLVE did, dead and forgotten completely.
