Another critical thing that must be recognized is the seasonal nature of everything in Eververse. Once the season changes it's gone. So no you can't get everything, not to mention the amount of bright dust and time needed to gain it in the first place. Which no one actually has, so yeah it's stupid. I will also say it's not comparable to tangible gameplay affecting items like exotics or god rolls. D1 didn't have this problem because it didn't do it to that degree. It's pretty simple. I didn't like it there either, but in regards to the question that's how it is.

  • Except D1 did do this. With SRL and with their own Dawning event. Even that age of triumph period was seasonal.

At best I care to remember there was the record book. Which didn't do nearly as much, not that it isn't okay but that's not what was being argued. The dawning stuff was dawning stuff, it at worst came back the next time it came around. So now that that's out of the way, understand D1 remembered all of the stuff you unlocked so you didn't have to grind for it again. Also I was more referring to the seasons of the games content, not actual seasons. If there are 4 seasons to a year, and the game lasts 3 years like D1, then that 12 seasons worth of crap. In other words seasons refers to sections of the games lifetime, not annual points of time. Also again I wasn't strictly arguing that particular issue anyway. They both suck in that regard, D1 was just fortunate enough that they hadn't figured it all out then.

  • Yea, I was referring to the events in games as "seasons" as well.

  • Okay, well I've said plenty whether that was the case or not. Point is Eververse is something I and many others already didn't like. It's gotten to the point that those that were okay with it are no longer. Due to it crossing some hard to pinpoint lines. Maybe you find it arbitrary and that's understandable when people are incredibly poor at communicating their ideas. As well as not all of them valuing the same things. However plenty of people do not think it feels great for one reason or another, and that's worth something. Even if you or I disagree with it.

  • I can agree with that
