Someone else did point out that 80k is low by west coast standards and they're correct especially if you consider how many hours they likely work during launches. I would be pissed at this community if I worked my ass off for children who hate my whole company and don't understand how hard it is. Now Eververse I can't fully excuse though as at least half those items should be earnable on other activities if they want to keep the actual fans playing.

If they "worked their asses off" for something like Destiny 2, they're clearly in the wrong business, simple as that 😉
-
Hey there's still no doubt heir employees worked hard. Just because they're working on a misguided business model doesn't mean it wasn't still hard to program it, etc. I mean I actually like some of the changes they made and there's no question the new weapon and ability system drastically changed enemy health values from the first game. Put us up against Golgoroth as we are now and see what happens. Lol So yes they did change a lot which took work. They just worked on something that about half or more of the community didn't want.

Wahhhhhh is what I say. Make quality shit and you'll sell more

Depends on what part of the west coast. LA? Still better than McDonald’s.

Believe we're talking Seattle. Isn't that where HQ is? It's certainly not super low but it's not super high either so I think the point is the company is no different than other companies in that they must make substantially more each year for any lower level employees to see a raise. Therefore I understand the need to expand profits on a yearly basis with new strategies. However that is no excuse to make the game suffer so bad that all the old fans leave as that will also affect future profits even if there are a few rich idiots putting hundreds into Eververse packages.

Yea. Wanted to say there but I couldn’t recall exactly where bungie HQ was. And I agree with you. Making your product suffer overall so that you can get an increase in revenue from it is never a good way to run a business. Eventually, even good customers get upset and go elsewhere for a product they want. Even if they have to start making/selling it themselves.

80K isn't low in America...
-
In most parts I agree. I would be very excited to make that right now and although I consider the cost of living here to be very high it is only compared to other places I've lived and in other places my cost of living is considered low. For instance I pay $1,400 a month rent. (Don't have to pay utilities though save for internet) That seems extremely high for some and even to me, but it's a great little condo I rent and have to myself. I've heard others call that low cost and think they're crazy but yeah if they pay damn near 2k a month... it is low.

It isnt in any part of the World...
-
80k is not low anywhere in America lol. Google the average yearly income and be very very surprised.
-
It’s about 4 times what I make. But the cost of living is dirt cheep here so I still have a few hundred a week to put away.

If you factor in cost of living, etc 80k is about 60-65K national average. Still double the average income
