How the hell do companies get away with the loot boxes. I seriously have no idea how they get passed the ESRB without getting caught. It says in the ESRB rating system and I quote "Content suitable only for adults ages 18 and up. May include prolonged scenes of intense violence, graphic sexual content and/or gambling with real currency." In the ever verse store you're gambling. There is no guarantee that you'll get what you want, and you're using real currency "Silver" to buy these loot boxes. The definition of gamble is, "To stake or risk money, or anything of value, on the outcome of something involving chance." That's loot boxes. I hope this stuff gets brought to light because it's ruining games. The ESRB is not doing their job right.

They make money off of them. That’s the only reason

Edited by Eu4ia15: 12/22/2017 5:58:25 AMThe esrb is actually owned and run by many of the publisher company's like EA and Activision It all started with mortal kombat 1 on snes and Sega I'm sure you could find it in Google Basically the law makers were gonna stop violence in games so esrb was created to (before law could get involved) rate games with the system we have now The reason we don't pay with real money and have to buy silver first is so it's classified as simulated gambling, it's effectively a loop hole so they can still market to a larger crowd and not have to only market to adults

I see the good parts of the ESRB when it was first created. Law makers tried to take stuff away from us, and that's not cool. But now they have a loop hole in their own system to exploit it. Pathetic if you ask me. These companies truly are evil, and I hope they get what they deserve.
