Remove Eververse

That is the only way the game goes forwards. Bungie told us that Eververse is only in to fund free content drops and events in place of the traditional DLC model. Well, right now we have the traditional DLC model, plus Eververse, minus the free content drops. So either remove Eververse, or make the DLCs free next year. Oh yeah, and what exactly is “cosmetic” about getting extra XP per kill and more rewards from public events? (Exotic Ghost Shells)

  • Heres the thing ......you want Eververse gone so the whales have nothing to spend money on ........or you willing to compromise and have everyone spend 10$ to 15$ a month subscription fee to even play the game. Examples being World of Warcraft which has had a 10 to 15 dollar$ subscription fee since the beginning. The pricing of games has barely changed in 30 to 40 years ... you have always been able to get the base editions of games between the prices of 40 to 60$ ...yet game development has gone through the roof and rivials that of movie prices ..they use to develop games for 1.5 to 2m Dollars ..the average AAA game today runs between 40 to 100M to produce (this doesnt even count marketing prices) yet the price to buy it hasnt changed at all. (this is all easy to look up BTW) Games like Destiny 2 or any MMO for that matter Development costs dont stop when the game is shipped , unlike your run of the Mill Mario Brothers games which development costs stop as soon as the game is released becauses its a one shot game no patches , no mods once you bet it you bet it at least thats how it was int he old days , where when you bought a game you bought the full game. Thats not how its done for MMO style games. Development costs continue throughout the life cycle of the game , not to mention costs of running and maintaining the servers, COst of developing DLCs, COst of fixing bugs ect. So you want Eververse gone ...whats your suggestion for a replacement...dont just scream at a precieved problem how about coming up with a alternative solution to the problem that would work not just for the community but for also Bungie I remember a good 10 years ago when microtransactions first started taking hold in MMO style games ...like Starwars: The Old republic .......no one had problems with it then ........everyone was like as long as its just cosmetics and dont give a player an edge im fine with it , i can select rather to buy it or not knowing that the whales aren't buying anything that would make them more powerful than me a non spender.....The whales are the ones that are keeping the game funded and moving forward with expansions. Now other games such as WoW took another approach and decided that a monthly subscription would keep them funded and it worked also its still the king of MMOs after decades. So i have two solutions to a issue that the community sees ...first solution drop eververse , move all items to in game activities ...make the exotic sparrows and ships so -blam!-ing hard to get that all the hardcore players are happy as -blam!- ..and all the casuals are pissed cause content is locked behind extra hard raid achievements that they will never be able to complete. (this is most MMOs by the way ) where the real powerful exotics are locked behind achievement walls the average player cant achieve and only the top 10% ever get (IE WoW's legendary gear).....ohhh and to keep the game funded lets add a 10$ a month subscription ....this 10$ a month pays for your DLCs and the game to keep running however it doesnt pay for expansions ...COO would be a DLC its small adds some new content and would be free...however the huge Expansions would be a once a year release at full 60$ price tags Ie Wow: Burning crusades , WOTLK, Legion ect that would be an expansion. Second option for fixing , Keep eververse , but keep it completely cosmetic , Sparrows, Ships should be moved out as in world drops , not super hard to get but just as easy to get as they are now ....lets be honest i havent Spent a Dime on Eververse yet i have 2x 160 Sparrows , about 8 150 sparrows , i have a exotic ship and 8 or so legendary ships , i have all the emotes including the new ones sweeper, mic drop ect , i have all the Ghosts that give all the xp and glimmer and location bonus for all the planets ...and ive only been playing for a little over a month , and again thats with out spending a dime on eververse thats just using the free engrams i get. Maybe i just have super Luck on the RNG or maybe i am just the average outcome for the average player i dont know i dont have the numbers and i doubt its posted anywhere. that being said i do see a problem with eververse too much of the shit is being developed for eververse instead of being developed for the in world gaming funciations ...nothing has a sense of accomplishment .....everthing is locked behind RNG engrams even on Factions ..they fixed that last one you can now buy from the faction vender ...but why does the raids and strikes and Nightfalls not have a chest Loot table ...why do the bosses not drop nightfall or raid specific gear ...you should be able to run a raid over and over until you collect a full tier set from the raid (Ie like World of warcraft where each raid was a specific tier level) Leviathan should be a tier 1 raid dropping an aswome looking tier 1 raid set ..maybe even having specific set bonus ..Ie 2x set pieces gives +5 Range , 4 x gives +10 reload, full set gives chance on proc to refill special ability bar.......something like that...every piece of high end gear should be in the raid making you want to run it over and over till you get all the armor, weapons and a small % get the exclusive raid sparrow (maybe 170/180 speed) and or ship. that alone with give people a reason to farm Speaking of our ships , they do nothing ...why not give us space combat .....why not give the ships their own gear layout that we get gear for them from doing space combat nightfalls, strikes , raids ect ...wouldnt it be cool to do a strike or nightfall or raid that is completely down in your ship fighting in space combat? gives us a reason to even have them beyond the stupid traveling animations we have. Eververse can stay it just needs to supplement the experience not be the experience, give it emotes and shaders give it limited mid level ships and sparrows make it what its suppose to be cosmetic , have the ghosts you get be nothing but shader skins that replace your current ghosts for looks and not stats. Make it a fashion store but it in no way should have the best looking armor ...that should be reserved for nightfalls and raids.
