We just have to admit, destiny 2 sucks. It should have been a 10/10 shooter experience but it is lack luster at best. Eververse is a symptom of the disease that will kill gaming. I fully expected to be the biggest supporter for destiny 2, I feel like I can't catch a break. -
Everyone Watch this video to better understand the #remove eververse topic and what steps bungie should take in fixing this mess. I think this guy hits all the points perfectly. I take no credit for this video and please use discretion when viewing as there is some language involved. https://youtu.be/wPyBNRANMI4 Also I made a seperate topic post with the video attached. If you agree with it please upvote post. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/241084126?sort=0&page=0

Wow, proof people are stupid. There is not one thing Eververse has that is needed to finish this game. The only people that have a problem with it are the ones that feel the need to collect everything, but have a cash flow problem. One does not need to collect everything. Blaming Eververse for this collection problem is on the same level as blaming the fork, for the sole reason one is an obese f**k. All one has to do is practice some self control. But no, nowadays people cant accept ones actions, but rather place blame elsewhere, pathetic.
Contact the ESRB and let them know games like destiny should be rated mature Games with lootboxes should be rated mature. Easiest way to get rid of eververse is to get the rating changed for destiny 2. If a couple thousand complain that lootboxes are not for childern Bungie will be forced to make changes. They can't afford to be a mature game.
Game director Christopher Barrett has directly addressed this on twitter. Can all of these posts hogging the entire forum go away now then please?

If Destiny 2 was a body, the Eververse kiosk is the large intestine... it's full of crap, but it serves a purpose. Problem is, it's infected with RNG, and it's got the equivalent of a real yucky case of dysentery. Once that gets cured, it can function properly.

Remember, remember! The 22nd of December, The Bungie treasons and plots; I know of no reason Why the Bungies and Tess treasons Should ever be forgot!

Don’t get rid of Eververse Bungie #LongLiveEververse

The cause is just. The rage is real. But, the enemy is all too many of us.

Can we all just downvote these posts please? I'm going through every one downvoting them, but my actions alone won't make change occur. If enough of us downvote these posts, the whining tossers will go away and allow us to play the game and actually discuss it on that forums. Come on people, go through the Eververse posts and downvote them all, the get rid of the moaning kids.

Before you say it... YES! I am cutting and pasting this in every "Remove Eververse" topic. And no, I'm not upvoting or downvoting any of them. I am virulently opposed to Eververse's current strategy of RNG microtransactions. I am revolted that it's still going on, and elated that the community has finally gotten sick of it. BUT, Eververse has sold some nifty stuff in the past, like the Air Guitar emote. So here's a proposal, for both sides, for better or worse, but this forum's self-appointed voice for balance: Keep Eververse, but STOP the RNG microtransactions! If a player wants a given emote, or shader, or ship, or other COSMETIC item... they can pay silver for it. No bright dust necessary, though it can still be used. Given the state of the player base, taking anything away from them would be ill-advised at this juncture. No purchasable bright engrams, though they still come for leveling. To put it another way, the patient player can still get stuff, at random, for free. The impatient player can pay for it, but straightforward and quid pro quo. I want the disco dance emote, I pay a set amount of silver for it, and it's mine. No more grinding lootboxes. I will not shed a tear if Eververse vanishes forever (aside from tears of laughter, if it comes with a cutscene of a family of Cabal celebrating their equivalent of the Dawning with a tasty Tess Everis stew). But I'm willing to offer alternatives, for those who are willing to listen.

It’s a slot machine and as such needs to be regulated by a federal and or a state gaming board.

This could be the petition to take Eververse down. We the community must make one post that has our gamer tags to sign on a petition to take down Eververse

I'm surprised this is still going and gained so much traction. If I had a hat I'd tip it

Edited by SmugIcebane: 12/22/2017 8:41:10 PMFrom the time I've thought about this, I see 4 possible outcomes of bungie actually changing eververse. 1. Removing it all together. This is probably the least likely as this would require them to find places to put every eververse item; which they probably wouldn't do. 2. Removing bright engrams. This is the a likely scenario. Remove the engrams but make all eververse items purchasable directly with silver and award bright dust upon level up in place of the engram. 3. Keep it as is, but make the items obtainable through activities, allowing those who do not wish to buy silver to get the items, but still keeping the option purchase them with silver. This is probably the most likely scenario. 4. Make engrams purchasable with bright dust. This would either result in the removal of the weekly bright dust rotation or they would add this along with the rotation.
