I saw Star Wars Rogue One in the theater last year. It cost me $20.
I loved it, so I decided to spend another $20 to see it again with my wife.
Flash forward 5 months; I remembered the whole movie by that point, and still very much enjoyed the experience I had watching it twice. So I decided to spend $30 on the Blu-ray.
By this point I have spent $70 to experience a movie I loved.
I love Destiny (1&2) and have no problem paying more money for new content, micro transactions (if I want the items, and the chance for future content.
I have only spent about $220 for 3 years worth of entertainment. Sounds like amazing value to me.

Edited by alien70: 12/21/2017 11:58:37 PMTell me if you still be happy to go to movie theater and pay $20 for a chance to see random movie.
-
Wow can we say bungie employe right here
-
If I buy a Blu-ray Disc copy of Rogue One for $30. I get a Blu-ray Disc of Rogue One for $30. In general, I don’t think people have a problem with buying more content in a video game especially if the content is high quality. People do have a problem with buying content in a video game, and then having another layer of content underneath that which is sold in a very convoluted way where you don’t know exactly how much you are going to have to spend to get what you want.
-
Then they make a sequel and you pay sine more money to watch re-skinned characters. Then you pay for a DLC, with an additional 5 minutes. But if you don’t pay, you can’t view the ending anymore.

Edited by brose_one: 12/21/2017 11:23:20 PMand then the directors cut comes out and you have to spend $30 for content you already own +10 minutes of unseen footage.

Edited by Honu Bonu: 12/21/2017 10:39:29 PMgames have a very different market value on how they create revenue so please dont compare cost of films to cost of games. Witcher 3's dlc for example would be a better comparison, considering they are both roughly the same price. Its kinda like comparing apples and oranges, except these apples and oranges costing half a billion dollars.
-
You can compare whatever you want as that opinion is subjective and not universal
-
I can compare dogs and pigeons, pigs and whales, humans and worms, but I should never use random comparisons that make no sense to justify an opinion.
-
Actually you can compare what ever you want
-
I just said that...
-
As did I in my first comment...
-
Yes, but I further elaborated on that with my stance...
-
Not really, you basically said exactly what I said but in twelve year old terms... you understand what subjective means right?
-
Ever heard of the term apples and oranges? I understand you may be somewhat slow with understanding this, but in simpler terms it means that yes, you can compare anything but don't imagine it to always make sense when I use it to enforce an opinion. For example: I love Donald Trump as President because he would do a lot better compared to a mouse. Did I convince you there?
-
Again, saying you can compare anything because the opinion is subjective and not universal is saying the exact same thing you just said... go back to school kid.
-
God you sure love to strip everything of context and actual meaning. Please read more than the first sentence. If you want to, I can just communicate to you with pictures, would that be easier?
-
Lol, you still don’t get it...
-
No, you seem to have selective hearing (or reading I should say), might wanna check that out.

Edited by Dredgen Dread: 12/21/2017 11:32:48 PMWow, how misguided are you... as I said originally, you literally said what I said in a longer, drawn out and dumbed down version of what had already been said... you are literally just digging for an argument, grow up child.
-
A drawn out, dumbed down statement? That doesn't make sense, my friend, please learn the English language. Anyway, please read my earlier text to comprehend what I'm actually trying to say.
-
Drawn out means that it was a longer statement, not one of articulation lol... so yes you can write a long dumbed down statement... and you did.

Original text: Ever heard of the term apples and oranges? For example: I love Donald Trump as President because he would do a lot better compared to a mouse. Did I convince you there? Please read the entire thing before continuing this argument. If you're going to continue flailing around I'm just going to stop replying because I really don't like repeating myself.
