That is the only way the game goes forwards. Bungie told us that Eververse is only in to fund free content drops and events in place of the traditional DLC model. Well, right now we have the traditional DLC model, plus Eververse, minus the free content drops. So either remove Eververse, or make the DLCs free next year. Oh yeah, and what exactly is “cosmetic” about getting extra XP per kill and more rewards from public events? (Exotic Ghost Shells)

My ps4 is in service so I haven't been online for few days. Now reading forum is so inspiring and things start to get interesting. Seeing unity rise from the ashes of dissatisfaction towards the game we are served. All this makes me smile. Now the ball is in your corner Bungie.
-
HAHAHA. I’m loving this backlash. Bungie is getting what they deserve.
-
Nope, we are getting exactly what we want!!! Bungie said said so, micro transactions are good. We want less content in D2 and reused, re-skinned items, they have done studies.

Edited by Capt Explodabob: 12/22/2017 3:16:45 PMTook you all long enough. Too long actually—Eververse's now embedded deep within the core of Destiny. It's not getting removed, and you should've listened to us when you still had the chance. The only way you're going to get rid of them is if you stop buying them, and we all know that's not going to happen.

Your tears taste so good

I want the new Warlock dawning armor. I can't even "grind" for the new armor, when they lock it behind a POS cosmetic paywall. No, you cannot grind for bright dust. You are guaranteed some Bright Dust every time you dismantle Legendary versions of anything you get out of a Bright Engram. How do we get bright engrams? Pay for them or pray to God you get lucky. So, dismantle any Legendary emotes, sparrows, shaders, and other Bright Engram shit or buy them and you'll earn yourself Bright Dust. People seriously defend this bs
-
I didn’t buy much from it, just with the Silver dust I have from deleting shaders and ghosts... Who cares ? Don’t use it if you don’t want to. It’s not like they sell weapons that give a advantage, it’s all cosmetic bs....

EA = Activision Activision owns Bungie Bungie owns Destiny 2 Destiny 2 = Starwars Battlefront 2 It's -blam!-ing science yo !
-
Agreed. Bungie needs to realize eververse is for additional stuff on top of new content. I am not paying for 1 hour of dlc and then be asked to pay again for the rest of the new "content"
-
I go away from the forums for 1 day and I come back to all the trending posts being to get rid of eververse, -blam!- yeah
-
It'll take more than a Cabal invasion to shutter Eververse.

About time everyone unite

I played destiny one from the very beginning to the very end. Spent hundreds even thousands of hours in game. Completed every challenge every raid. Every expansion. Eververse alone is not the problem with destiny 2. In my opinion the game has lost its replay value. Loot , specifically exotics are now given out too easy and are underwhelming compared to destiny 1. The raid gear and the drops in the raid are also underwhelming , there is no need to complete the raid to reach max level and raid gear has nothing to distinguish it from regular gear besides the look. This game is just a casual shooter/pvp game. If you are looking for a raiding experience/ loot grind mmo. This is not the game for you.

Edited by x Silver cRoW x: 12/22/2017 3:16:00 PMBump. Edit: All players who support this NEED to also stop playing this game until it is removed if they really want to see this happen!

When the government makes these predatory practices illegal for anyone under 21 Activision and Bungie will be forced to rethink their greed. Or they will lose more than money. I can't wait for this day. I loved Destiny 1 I had over 2000 hours played. Now I can't stand to play an hour. I just don't understand why they are destroying their own work.

People need to understand that "games as a service" is a slippery slope. It may not seem that bad to people right now, but just over the course of D1 - D2 we lost our ghosts, sparrows, shaders and ships behind the eververse paywall. It's not going to get better, more things will get put behind eververse, and the game will continue to be designed to promote eververse, not to give you a better gaming experience. If you're fine with paying for these items I have no beef with that. Just know that you're promoting to Bungie that you're fine with paying full price for a game and paying extra for things that should have been in the game in the first place. It wouldn't be half as bad if D2 was free to play, or if you could buy directly what you wanted from the eververse store instead of gambling with engrams. But it's clear that if eververse isn't leaving, it NEEDS to change. Bungie, if you want our money so bad, there is an alternative as well... Just make a good game in the first place.
-
Eververse should be reworked. The problem is that we can't just buy or grind for what we want. Other games do it right, you want something you can buy it or you can grind for it. Bungie should stop manipulating their players and instead of random loot boxes just put the stuff up for sale and for those that cannot spend money on it let them grind hard for it. everyone will be happy, bungie gets their money from the ones that will spend and the others can still get the loot. RNG blows donkey testicles

Wow! I am genuinely scared to go against anything Mister Torgue has to say (EXPLOSIONS?!), but at this point, Eververse along with a few of the Verses, are just about the only progression/reward/rank up system in the game. Perhaps that is the main point you are trying to make though, maybe by removing them they will substitute it with something else, but I don't see that happening. (In Torgue's voice: "You may have noticed that everyone here is trying to kill you, Torgue personnel included. YOU'RE WELCOME. I didn't want you to get bored so I was like, F*ck it, give everybody guns! We lost like half our workforce in three days, but who gives a F*CK!?"

Eververse Needs to GO
-
Well yes exactly
-
Eververse is ruining this game, it has wormed its way into every aspect of the game and with these new ghost shells it is no longer "cosmetic only" . They offer tangible benefits to those who spend the money to get them. The dawning sets are by far the best looking armor.... so far beyond the other sets it's like it was all done on purpose.... of course it was! Bland base sets and amazing sets behind a pay wall!! Revolution!!

-
Totally agree
-
They will never remove her, but instead they should re-structure how these very same items can be obtained in-game. Too bad Eververse turned to the dark side!
