The only real benefit is being able to grind out the boxes [u]quicker[/u] than regular leveling for luminous engram packages. The tokens that do benefit you can be EASILY attained through regular game play. Each luminous engram turns into an item which can be dismantled for bright dust, which you spend for tokens, or you get bright dust packages, which can be used for tokens, or you get tokens.. I guess im missing the point your trying to make? Edit: i assume the double xp gains and rewards from public events are the new tokens from eververse

Nah she should stay. Its my own choice if I spend money or not. If you dobt want to spend money then don't.. Plain and simple.

Microtransactions are not the problem. Only having the special loot in eververse is. Contrary to the simple views expressed below, they implemented eververse very well (there are a lot of games where the ONLY way to get microtransaction items is microtransactions.) So instead of spreading hatred and critisism to a well implemented microtransaction system, spread critisism towards not having rewarding loot in end game activities And you can complain about ghosts with xp when the xp has a valid use.

see I don't think Eververse makes them money in Destiny 2, I'll bet you they are actually loosing money with the Eververse, reason, they are given crap tons of Eververse garbage away free & recent posting for job in the Micro transaction department :-)

I have posted this in a few threads but here it is again for the people defending micro's saying its just cosmetics! In D1 all of your armour had unique stats and perks that affected gameplay. The stats and perks you wanted to utilise changed depending on the activity you were doing. Part of the endgame was grinding for the stat/perk you wanted to complete your build/class setup. In D2 these stats/perks have been taken away and replaced by a very watered down (resistance,recovery,mobility) that really don't affect gamplay at all. I can do any activity with any armour in this game and it does not affect the way i play.I can raid in trials gear, raid gear,EDZ gear it does not make a difference. Therefor the only reason to grind for armour is purely cosmetic. The endgame is cosmetic you fools, open your eyes to bungies bullshit, they gave you a watered down money grabing free to play game model and charged you for a full priced game! - they have locked the most desirable cosmetics behind another paywall/casino - nerfd your XP gains behind your back (and only confessed when caught out) - locked players out of content that they had paid for - posted a job add for a eververse designer with the key word "progression" right next to it and then removed it ( when caught out ). Seriously people whats it going to take for you to open your eyes and get angry about this bullshit!!! Is this the way you want all your new games to be? If we as gamers keep accepting this it will only get worse, give them an inch and they will take a mile.

I got enough silver dust from breaking down shaders, ghosts, ships, sparrows and transmat effects from the free engrams to buy complete sets for all 3 characters.

I'm just going to put this out there, but what if they are using the money to pay all the people who work on the game, maintain servers, keep the forms running, test the game, and a bunch of other task, as well buy equipment and other items to help improve the game?

So we want exotic ships, sparrows, and ghosts to be rewarded at the new drop rates for exotics (waaaaay lower drop rate) and only from specific activities? And we want to remove a currency and a rotating vendor that compensates for bad RNG and allows you to work towards those engrams and currency by playing any activities you want without spending a dime? Once again, this “outrage” is calling for a change that would benefit the people who spend the most time playing (the players at the end of the bell curve) to have the rewards alone at the top. Or this is just another internet trend and parrots have found their way over here. I’m not talking about Raid Specific Shaders, sparrows, or ships either. They’re coming in later updates to keep people playing a year old raid encounter that was never left behind (because that was another popular complaint with D1s Raids). There should be certain Ships, Sparrows, Ghosts behind end game activities, Lost Sectors, Strikes. (Like a Vanguard Ghost that always drops with the perks “Chance for More Tokens from Strikes and 10% more XP from Strikes” or a Lost Sector Fallen Themed Ghost that always drops with EDZ themed perks) But they already said they’re working on ways to make Lost Sectors, Strikes, and Crucible more rewarding. Maybe these things are in the pipeline. D2’s Eververse system is the system that meets a compromise between their business and ALL players. It still rewards people who play the most with way more engrams than any “tourists” could ever earn with playtime. It allows more casual players to collect bright dust to get their favorite ship, sparrow, or ghost when it ends up in the weekly rotation without spending a dime or time they don’t have. Also, if players want to get the gear but don’t want to spend the time... then let them fund the next raid expansion! Why lock tourists out of the Gift shop?! You know it’s a scam to pay but they don’t!
