That is the only way the game goes forwards. Bungie told us that Eververse is only in to fund free content drops and events in place of the traditional DLC model. Well, right now we have the traditional DLC model, plus Eververse, minus the free content drops. So either remove Eververse, or make the DLCs free next year. Oh yeah, and what exactly is “cosmetic” about getting extra XP per kill and more rewards from public events? (Exotic Ghost Shells)

15 RepliesEdited by BossCharacter: 12/22/2017 4:47:59 AMStretching it a bit. But I think for the betterment of everyone’s sanity the business model should be adjusted. I’m cool with just having a base game with quarterly ish updates through season passes. That way the cost is paid for the quarter of time played based on the content drop schedule. Eververse is cool but I think the only thing I would remove is Ghost shells based on everything they do that does impact gameplay. Other then that. Everything else is ok where it is. Live events should be limited to the odd seasonal ones and monthlies like iron banner and faction rallies. I think the waters got muddied when the business model which honestly based on the nature of what I do for a living I kinda know specifics a lot of you may not. But it’s kind of one of those things where it was poorly implemented and some things added to the boxes are what people really have a problem with. Which is the ghosts. Everything else is with non game play related or has a basic functionality that you have to be either reaching to be offended or just trolling. Don’t know which one. Don’t care honestly. It’s kinda funny to banter sometimes. Makes a boring hour a tad less boring at work. That is what I would revise about the process. That one is free.

1 ReplyYou know there's an easier way to keep eververse and still keep smile on the community's face...You know COD ww2? Well in the game they have 3-2 bounties that reward you supply drops (the game's microtransactions) DAILY! If Bungie did this it'd be a MAJOR improvement, it'd bring a much needed grind to the game, and it'd make it much more possible for me to get Saint-14's ship or that -blam!-ing disco ghost shell. Oh and Bungie if you ever do this DO NOT make them purchasable via silver or bright dust, ONLY glimmer at the very least.

5 RepliesXP gains only grant eververse engrams more often, which only give sparrows and cosmetics. What’s the big deal?

1 ReplyFinding out that the loot pool for the rewards from the gifts you give daily doesn’t include any of the Dawning armour or exotics feels like a bit of a last straw for me. I’ve tried to give the game a chance because I love the mechanics of shooting things and because I loved D1. I could cope with having emotes you pay for in D1, if you wanted something enough you could buy it. I could accept having emotes, shaders, weapon ornaments in random loot boxes in D2. Putting so much of the content that felt good to earn in D1 behind microtransactions or chance makes the game feel even more shallow, along with the lack of random rolls etc. I have to say though that The Dawning seems an extra (bonus?) level of cynicism on the part of Bungie/Activision.

3 RepliesHow the hell do companies get away with the loot boxes. I seriously have no idea how they get passed the ESRB without getting caught. It says in the ESRB rating system and I quote "Content suitable only for adults ages 18 and up. May include prolonged scenes of intense violence, graphic sexual content and/or gambling with real currency." In the ever verse store you're gambling. There is no guarantee that you'll get what you want, and you're using real currency "Silver" to buy these loot boxes. The definition of gamble is, "To stake or risk money, or anything of value, on the outcome of something involving chance." That's loot boxes. I hope this stuff gets brought to light because it's ruining games. The ESRB is not doing their job right.

4 RepliesSHIT just got REAL. EVERVERSE and other "predatory" gambling simulators from developers like Bungie UNDER INVESTIGATIVE SCRUTINY as 5 more states seek legal crackdown. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/240790735?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 Please bump and let's get real with ending this exploitation. The whole "we've been listening to your feedback" BS days are over. Everyone can see Bungies lies for what they are in broad daylight..

I wonder if the devs browse the forums while they're on break. If they do, I want to know what they're thinking when they see so many remove eververse posts. -

3 RepliesEdited by TheWagn: 12/22/2017 5:16:04 AMWe can deal with eververse next month people. I just want nova bomb fixed so I can enjoy mayhem. Bungie is sitting on their butts taking a christmas break while the one fun playlist in crucible is ruined. See you next year mayhem! Maybe nova bomb will be fixed by next christmas!

Never gonna happen in a million years but whatever keeps you busy

Eververse made me hate bungie.

5 RepliesThe problem is that The Dawning feels like a complete gamble. There is no “Event” to it. You either get lucky on drops from 1 package a day or you don’t get the things you want from the Packages unless you spend Real Cash. That’s the biggest Issue. Nobody is Participating in anything Dawning Like towards Dawning Items. Crimson Days, you played in Crucible in Doubles TOWARDS items. SRL, you raced TOWARDS getting gear and Items. .......Dawning, you basically do NOTHING to eventually Gamble and most likely lose. LET US GRIND FOR THE THINGS WE WANT IN ANY EVENT OR ACTIVITY. These events are extremely poor so far. Iron Banner was a Waste, Faction Rally was Glitched AND CAPPED, The Raid doesn’t drop things anymore than Tokens that only Go towards Leviathan Gear. No reason to even have them. People aren’t doing “Eater of Worlds” tonget Original Leviathan Gear. The Items are GREAT Looking but GIVE US A REASON TO PLAY. GIVE US A REASON TO GRIND. I shouldn’t have to EVER feel like I need to pay EXTRA money for packages of cosmetic anything. I want to Put in a Solid Effort for things. HOLD OUR ATTENTION BUNGIE. OR LOSE US FOREVER. What is going on in that Studio Bungie...... it’s not looking good. And every time you take a step forward with the community, you keep taking more steps back. This has to STOP.

Remember when all Tess did was give us Special Orders, contributing little to nothing in the game? Good times.
-
The hunter armour is great too its survivalist. And its behind a -blam!-ing paywall. Never going to spend a penny on eververse
-
1 ReplyI don't get it. Why are we even getting exotic items from her? That stuff is supposed to be in Raids. An exotic ghost should be from the raid or something else. Then people would have a sense of accomplishment bu showing it off like "yeah I beat the raid on hard mode prestige etc" now you can just buy them and no one would even care cause it wasn't hard to obtain
-
Damn homie.....they got u....... I didn't pay shit for the dawning......also when that SRL comes back that's free to try not to get suckered again. Oh and if you gave out any personal info contact the local authorities.
