That is the only way the game goes forwards. Bungie told us that Eververse is only in to fund free content drops and events in place of the traditional DLC model. Well, right now we have the traditional DLC model, plus Eververse, minus the free content drops. So either remove Eververse, or make the DLCs free next year. Oh yeah, and what exactly is “cosmetic” about getting extra XP per kill and more rewards from public events? (Exotic Ghost Shells)

Maybe not remove. Just make the items obtainable in other activities and not just eververse

1 ReplyGreat idea. All the content paid for up front - play the game to get it. A simple solution. More content, more rewards, more players playing. Happy Gaming.

7 RepliesImagine if those items were obtainable via secret achievements and missions in the game. Say if you get the Sweeper Bot emote for clearing all of the story/adventure icons off your map. Or you get an emblem, ship, shader for completing a raid on prestige with not a single player dying, how meaningful would those items be now? Players want something to remember thier achievements to either show it off to randoms or their friends. I remember in Destiny 1, the aww I felt when do seen someone with a flawless ornament. That was something that could only be obtained be completing one of Destiny's most difficult challenge, and those ornaments showed that off. If you seen someone with a full set of Trials- ornaments, you knew they meant business. These also could lead to loads of more gameplay opportunities to get yourself engaged in. The Sweeper Bot example may inspire someone who is not interested in the more, to go through all the story missions and adventures because they want that emote. They might even enjoy themselves. The prestige raid example would add tons to do in game. You may really want tat ship, shader, emote, etc. and so you try the challenge with your friends, only to fail because you're not powerful enough. That would promote going through the other activities to become more powerful and then try again. Eververse takes all of this potential away and it is severely limiting and hurting was D2 is capable of.

This will be the only way I return. The aggressive microtransactions have left a very bad taste in my mouth. I’ve stopped playing D2 and won’t return till they’re completely gone. I won’t be buying a game with microtransactions ever again. I’d rather find a new hobby than continually be disrespected and bled dry!

its not about spending money to get things from Tess. It's about removing -blam!-ing Microtransactions because the dumbass that thought of them (he probably has an IQ of 40) was too -blam!-ing greedy. How does his shit brain work? Well let me tell you, he cant read this form because he is a pussy ass bitch that acts like nothing ever happened and will continue his day as if nothing ever happened. If you didn't understand this post then I have bad grammar and sentence structure

I don't care

Why would bungie listen? Let’s be generous and say this gets 1000 likes, I believe yesterday over 1 mil people logged in to play D2. Let’s also say that everyone who liked the post played. That still means only 0.1% of their customers are angry with the product. No wonder they continue to make the eververse more interesting than the end game.

Edited by smurfninja9: 12/21/2017 11:41:31 PMMoney makes the world go round,we as a consumer society made it happen so we are indirectly responsible for making these silly micro transactions happen. It’s here to stay so deal with it.

Lol good luck

12 RepliesThis all just seems like class envy or something. If it's cosmetics, why do people actually care unless they really want these ghosts, ships, and shaders but i guess can't afford them, or something like that. Seems like a lot of outrage over basically nothing. It reflects very poorly on the player base.

You forgot to flex at it.
-
Cancerous bungie will not do it.
-
yup, its not healthy for the game.

10 RepliesEdited by Kreutz: 12/21/2017 8:01:39 PMThe best dlc would be one where we shoot Tess in the head.

Best way to get rid of Eververse, Mr Torgue? EXPLOSIONS!!!

4 RepliesTop 12 posts on the forum are all about this right now. There will always be weak minds to purchase silver, but they are not the majority. This isn't just about bungie, it is about gaming. Let's pay for actual ideas and innovation in gaming instead of micro transaction bullshit. Don't agree? Then you are the problem.
