Having spent a good deal of time playing Destiny since D1 beta... I have a really hard time even understanding why anyone would expect a game developer to release the actual numerical drop rates. There are plenty of things - valid things - to complain about. It is shocking how spoon-fed people expect their video game content to be... The folk being hyper-critical would have lost their minds in the first years of World of Warcraft or Star Wars Galaxies or Diablo 3, basically dozens of games that rely on random loot distribution. Those rare and unique items could be sold for real cash, compared to Destiny which has no such analog. Yet those communities played, quite avidly; despite having to determine things like drop rates on their own. If they even really cared about the actual number that badly. I have only been able to play two or three hours of D2 a few times a week. I have nearly all the exotics from the original content, except those that require Raid completion and extraordinary Nightfall times. With Xur and the little chunk of time I have to play, I now have several from the new DLC. It has been two weeks... *gasp* Such a terribly long time. Is this all about bragging rights? What makes getting exotics more critical than private matches, or even SRL? You take a gamble, you buy and use the coins - you win or lose based on a bet in your favor against the RNG. I mean, you folks do realize that Bungie obviously knows how to plot algorithms right? They did make this game and it's predecessor. I suspect they have been doing it for more years than most of the people complaining have been alive. TL; DR Unless you have enough of a statistical subset of attempts and drop rates to prove otherwise, it probably works as intended. Continue to use the forum to get some of the original D2 issues addressed instead of 27 pages about this flea speck of a problem... The mobile site is not providing a way for me to view replies at the moment and I do not have time to correct it. I will happily examine the verbal thrashing after I sign in later.

 • they do not work as intended that´s the problem ... I feel like they reduce the dropchance instead of bettering it ... they made something wrong ..terribly wrong what frustrates most of the players is how stupid their marketing is... they want to make money out of destiny one .. wich is perfectly fine ... but I feel that they are prioritising it way to much .. we got like a quintillion new eververse BS but like only a dozen new actual exotic items ... it is so stupid. the put like 3 times more effort in the game to make us squeeze money out for them rather then providing a good clan experience ... just take Warframe in comparision it is free 2 play and has a million more things to offer its campaign is good ... its weapon system is good ... and especially the networking is good ... in Destiny I have to leave the game open up the browser go to this dumbass website to find a clan ... wtf? and in order to actually do anything with my clanmates i need to open up a discord server so we can talk normaly this game wants us to play with others cooperatly but... does EVERYTHING to prevent us from doing it ... even the crucible was better in D1 ... the teamsize of 4 people was the dumbest thing they aver made ... lets say u and your friends want to do the nighfall and the raid and then the trials... thats 3 diffrent teamsizes that just do not ad up... they would fix half their problems by making destiny 1 and 2 in one game but with the weapons of D1 ... and the other half by making a Recruiting chat, a Clan chat, a Global chat, and a Region chat... boom u have a game thats actually worth even half the price u pay for this one ... and no more DLCs u have to pay for AND microtransactions ... its just not ok

 • You won't notice 3 of coins are useless if you only play 2 or 3 hours a week ;)

 •
You won't notice 3 of coins are useless if you only play 2 or 3 hours a week ;)
You might want to re read what he/she said... They said 2 to 3 hours a day a few times a week. I am in the same boat as then. I play for 2 or 3 hours when i get off work and haven't had time to raid in months but still somehow i have all but LoA from the first drop and just missing 2 or 3 exotics from CoO. 3 of coins seem to be working fine everywhere for me except the raid seeing as I have not been able to test them there.

 • Sorry my bad, misread that one. I've not tested them myself but many people are saying they have gone 7 - 8 hours with not a single drop. Sounds like they just want us to dump all our legendary shards.
