The communication is refreshing and appreciated. I don’t expect an answer to this but I’ll try anyway. Regarding masterworks, which I admit do have potential, why is the one stat that could actually benefit each weapon type left out of the drop pool? I’m betting the answer is pvp balance. Again. Even if left unanswered. Sad that the same heads seem to be butting against the same walls, just while wearing different hats.

  • I'm guessing, it's a mixture out of PvP Balance, and the fact that if you would add the one stat that would actually benefit the weapon type, most of the players would choose only that stat. Without adding it, people have to choose out of the worse benefits, which actually creates diversity.

  • It’s different for each weapon. IE stability on a scout rifle, range on a hand cannon etc

  • Sorry, but they need to do better than this. By not providing a date on when this will be done puts no pressure to meet a deadline. We deserve a reasonable deadline for when this will be done correctly. No a half baked no testing update with an obligatory "known issues" post 12 hours later. Whether they need to fork out more dough to hire more developers or testers or whatever it needs to be, they need to start dedicating enough resources to get these fixes/ quality of life changes to their community as fast as possible. We all paid top dollar for this game, but continually get treated like second best.

  • Before the groundwork is laid, and your hands are good and Sorry, you can't give a deadline for when something will be done correctly. You can give a deadline for when something will be done and roll the dice on whether or not it will be shit on that date and accept what you get. Or you can tell people it'll be done correctly, give no deadline, then release when it's ready. That's sort of how that works. That's why a lot of devs who release more polished stuff give deadlines of: "When it's done."

  • No, good companies that consistently make their quarterly earnings operates on deadlines. No dev should ever dictate when product should be ready. They're not the ones that have to own up to a contractual agreement.

  • You mean good companies with shitty busted ass products. BioWare pre-EA never gave deadlines, and they released amazing works. BioWare post-EA released copy/paste Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect Andromeda. You can have fast, or you can have good, but you can't have both. Your approach may see results sooner, but not the results anyone wants to see.

  • You're reply is based on opinion. Mine is based on facts supported by companies P.L. I don't care what the deadline is just as long as there is one. It's up to the devs and QA to come up with a proposal and stick to it.

  • No company that puts out garbage stays in business for very long. Do you think Microsoft an Sony would be in the game console business if they made crap? They operate on deadlines as well. Have they ever missed a release date? No that's because they have reasonable deadlines and competent people that work for them.

  • Actually plenty of companies that make garbage stay in business. Some of the most financially successful development houses out there are making mobile games that are complete trash. And then you have companies like Blizzard (the beloved part of Activision) and Valve who don't deal in deadlines until they're damn good and ready. They make great games, and good money doing it. They certainly have internal timetables and milestones, but they don't release public deadlines until they know they can meet them with a quality product. And that's why people respect them and love their games. But obviously you prefer the player to be force fed rushed shit. Yup, obviously an investor and not a player.

  • You speak like you're the investor. How should Bungie be any different then any other company that puts out quality product. If the deadline needs to be 6 months then it needs to be 6 months. No executive worth their pay would go into a boardroom and tell them, It will be ready when the devs say it will. I'm not asking for these fixes to be next week. I'm asking for them to tell me realistically when I can expect to see them.

  • You're not on the board, are you? Again, internal timetables and milestones are a LOT different than a public deadline. Releasing deadlines is either done far enough into development that everyone knows they can release a quality product, are lip service put out there as an opiate for the masses and are actually open to delays and thus pointless, or are made by companies willing to release unfinished garbage. There's really no other options.

Please answer in a format that does not have baseless entitlement statements
