for every week played players should be required to buy atleast 500 silver to keep playing
edit : cant believe someone took the bait

No one would pay $20/month for this. Not even WoW commands that rate. But I get the joke. They should go all-in on their money grab; change a weapon/armor loadout, 250 silver per weapon slot or 600 for all 3, 200 per armor piece 700 for all pieces and get mark/cloak/bond free. One-time allowance of change per purchase.

Wish they would put a subscription charge in, that way this shit excuse for a game would finally die permanently with that final nail.

1 ReplyStep 1, walk into bungie office. Step 2, drop your cash in the trash receptacle. Step 3, hotline bling out the door. You just did the same thing they'll do with your money, but saved them the hassle of lying about work.

1 ReplyI'd probably pay a sub for Destiny 1 if it funded live support for it. A sub for D2 would most certainly be the last nail in it's coffin.

2 RepliesEdited by FaintingSheep: 12/19/2017 12:26:09 PMWell.. I was thinking about this aswell. But then i realised something.. I remember saying rockstar was trash for the bad playersupport. But after looking at bungie i cant help but think... Why can rockstar create FREE new content for gta online for over 3 years. But bungie has to charge 20bucks for one small dlc? I now feel like rockstar is pretty decent compared to Bungie

Switch it to buying silver once a month. I don’t want to have to remember to buy silver every week.
-
if they added subs, not only would i stop playing, id also compile my own private server out of spite.
-
5 RepliesI'd sub for better endgame/dedicated servers 🤔
-
Don’t you worry that’s going to happen now anyway with net neutrality gone! Thanks to the FCC...

Well considering how much 500 Silver is, over the course of the year it would work out cheaper than the full game and season pass. So if there is no initial cost (ie free game) then yeah why not, its a great idea. Don't like the last DLC? Stop paying. Unhappy with PvP balance? Stop paying. Luke Smith makes another "throw money at the screen" blunder? Stop paying. Then they would really see how many people are upset.

I hope you mean real silver and not this silver dust nonsense. I'm so sick of fake currency.

6 RepliesYes please. I've been saying this for awhile now. Hardcore players who aren't streamers don't buy eververse engrams, they grind for it. So if Bungie dropped eververse and added a small fee to play each month, those hardcore players would pay for it. This would keep constant cash flow to Bungie and in turn allow them to create a lot more, enjoyable content. They would most likely lose their casual player base but, I think they'd have more than enough hardcore players to keep them fed.

I mean, I could see a Destiny type game(like Destiny but good) succeeding in a payment model like this
-
I do 500 Silver/mo since I play on PC. FYI, Bungie does get a portion of money from time spent using Xbox Live Gold or Playstation Plus to play Destiny 2, a sort of proxy subscription system.

You think this game has that much loot?

Edited by zooksiee: 12/19/2017 2:54:24 AMMake it so if you don’t pay silver, the servers are really bad, but if you pay 500 silver you get better connections

3 RepliesYou would be the only one playing then -blam!-tard
-
2 RepliesI would be fine with a monthly subscription... because I know the quality that it brings with. FFXIV became amazing and has even been asked by the Yoshi-P if people would perfer the game to get rid of the monthly fees. The community outcry was to keep the monthly fees.
-
Best you would see are 300 players online at peak 😆
-
No, i wouldn't want to waste more money on the same game that made me pay 35 dollars for the game and 2 expansion passes EACH. If anything make the DLC's cheaper to get more buyers.

2 RepliesI can only assume you are being sarcastic... good one!
-
2 RepliesNot sure if you are serious or joking, But World of Warcraft has had a monthly fee since its beginning and has done very well. But that is a hardcore playerbase. Destiny does not have enough of those players to do that. All these hardcore player talk real tough, but If Bungie had put a monthly fee on D1 it would have died within a month.
