Glad you guys are looking into it.
Wah wah wah, I played for an hour and didnt get an exotic. Like what do you guys want? An exotic every chest so you have them all then whine about having them all and not having anything to chase? Yah, 12 hours and none is excessive but really if 4 hours is "one sitting" of gaming, you really should only see 1 exotic in this time. Because they are special and exotic... And if you give more than they are not.

I am three days in, maybe 15 hrs, and no exotic. Since dlc dropped, all I have got out of the few exotics has all been season one repeats. I still play, but since they addressed the “eververse” scaling issue, the reward system and xp have become beyond horrible. I never complained, but the issue of drops is off. All I have been doing is heroic strikes to grind for the verse materials and getting not one exotic out of all of those strikes is a little hard to swallow, but when you finally get one and it deciphers into a repeat useless sidearm gauntlet... you kind of want to not play anymore.

I donno, I seem to get one every or every other night (2-3 hours each night) now. But yah, they are all duplicates. None have been from Heroic Strikes though, sounds like that is bugged for sure. I agree the Heroic Strike bug needs to be fixed and duplicates should be addressed (and will be), but I dont see drop rates being an issue. Thats just me though.

20 hrs with one equipped and zero exotics. Maybe its bad luck but with their recent track record I highly doubt it

I think people would be ok with the drop rates if they didn’t decrypt into duplicates all the time. It’s so cringeworthy to open an exotic engram now.

Yes, lots of duplicates too but the drop rate was so high. I am glad they reduced it or it seems like they did, in CoO. I can see now the duplicates should be addressed, but the base drop rate value is fine.

I just now got the oath. So RNG really favored you compared to a lot of others so maybe that’s where the divide is coming from. There’s people with every exotic even the coo ones, whereas there’s people like me who receive duplicates after duplicates of story exotics or preorder coldhearts. I play pretty heavy, even with the mass exodus of players. Yet I honestly don’t feel like I’m being rewarded at all.

Really there is 2-3 for each class and 2-3 weapons that actually provide a meaningful benefit. Chasing Thorn, Vex Mytho or GH in Y1 was crazy. IB in Y3 too... I played because I wanted that gun, T12 armor, Nanopheonix, etc. Now its just to play... Masterworks is good, but gonna need more than that.
