50%? that really doesn't seem right to me. whenever I've had it active, I never get anything, yet when I do have it off, I end up getting an exotic. Granted some of the activities I've done were heroic strikes but I've done a lot of public events while it was on too.....man why did I waste most of my shards on this >>''

50% is not that much. If the base drop is 1% 50% means it would be 1.5% after you use it.
