While 3 of Coins increase your chance of getting exotics it is still down to luck as well.
You are just having bad luck that is all.

Sorry but you are incorrect, bungie tweeted out today that it is indeed bugged. In fact itnis so bugged that it apparently drops your exotic drop chance rather than increases it.

Bungie has just released the info on the investigation on 3 of Coins. And other than a small problem of drop rates in Heroic strikes not being higher than normal strikes (and a fix is coming beginning of next year) nothing is wrong. So problems in normal activities outside of Heroic strikes is like I said down to just bad luck.

Well that is honestly to bad, although heroic strikes were my main way of farming exotics so maybe after it is fixed that will help. Seeing as people have been testing them for hours on end and having it where they get basically zero exotics (multiple groups have found this by the way). If it isnt broken then they are absolutely worthless.

wish that was the case but as i seem to drop exotics when the coin is not active and when it is active i get nothing does pose the question is it bugged?

Nothing is bugged. As I said luck is still the main thing no matter what the chances. You could have a good day and say you have 2 exotics drop with a 2% chance (Bungie has never said the chances so this is a guess) but the next you could have a bad day and get nothing even if you had a mega extreme, larger than life boost on that says 50% chance of every engram to be a exotic. The only way to be sure of a exotic is to buy from Xur and that is down to luck if he sells you what you need.

Edited by Odin: 12/17/2017 1:57:35 PMok as there is multiple threads statting people are seeing a reduction if not a complete stop to exotic drops with three of coins active id say the the chanes are that it is bugged and as we have no solid data from bunjie on the drop rates normally or with three of coins active i fail to see your argument here im stating a trend that i and several of my friends have noticed with this item stop being a fan boy when all im doing is posting there seems to be a techinical issue with this one item. im not flaming the game or the developer just rasing a potential issue and even posted a poll on my other thread to see what multiple people expericances are so im not just pulling it out my behind

Bungie has just released info on a investigation into 3 of coins and you know what..... nothing is broken. Bungie did find a regular bug lowering Heroic strikes drop rate to regular strike loot levels (fix inbound in the new year) So as i said any problems in drops is bad luck on your end.

you just contradicted yourself they have clearly stated there is a bug on them in strikes and as many major gaming news platform's have now done plenty of fact checking on this and many of them are reporting the three of coins is not working and bunjie have not commented saying that they are in any of the other activities as intended they are looking into that and several other items. so to sum it up yes they are faulty items and bunjie have publically stated that so the only bad luck is for you trying to be smart and fanboying up to shoot youself in the foot like that. dont try act the big man online when people are only reporting issues with the game to make it better to quote bunjie. We will continue to monitor and forward feedback concerning this feature throughout the holiday season. Keep it coming!
