Are you bored? Here are some builds to try out!

I feel as if there is a lot of depth in some of the classes and weapons that bungie created. Unfortunately, the community is too angry right now to try anything new and unfamiliar. For this reason, I’ve created this thread so guardians can try new things and understand some of the depth in this game: Arcstrider: 10/6/1 build. All mobile hunter armor. Frostee boots. Use the bottom skill tree. Since the recovery was slightly buffed, it doesn’t hurt as much to run a low recovery build on hunters. In fact, it’s actually good for this build. The longer the hunter stats at critical health, the quicker your grenades charge. I also recommend to put an arc grenade mod on your chest piece to speed it up even more. Dawnblade: Top skill tree. 4/6/6. All heavy warlock armor. Transversive steps boots. Use a lightweight weapon to make you move faster. You will feel very zippy as a warlock with this build. I run this with solar grenades. Stormcaller: This is a PvE build. Wear crown of tempest. Bottom skill tree. Nuff said. You will get your super and abilities back so quick. No worrying about ability cooldowns. Voidwalker: Nezarec’s Sin, top skill tree. Make sure you used an energy weapon with void. I use the tone patrol because of its elemental explosion. I also run axion bolts on this one. Make sure you overcharge the grenade when you see a group of enemies. The bloom will kill everyone. This build will make you get your abilities back very quickly in PvE. Remember: melee hits recharges your grenade Gunslinger: Lucky pants and dual hand cannons. Choose the bottom skill tree. The constant headshots will make your super charge faster. I also use gamblers dodge because it helps me get my knife back when I need it. I also use tripmines and throw them right when my opponent is next to a wall. Nightstalker. Use foetracer helmet. Mida multi tool and mini tool. Bottom skill tree. This is the ultimate neutral game build. You have an enhanced radar and ability to track people behind walls. Mida gives you radar when ads. The mini tool works well since foe tracer helps you track enemies when they are behind cover. Also use gamblers dodge. This will recharge your smoke grenade when dodging near enemies. If anyone else has interesting builds then please share!

    • There really are no builds in D2. They want every player to be the same and boring with no power.

Cheers for this. The forum needs more posts like yours that are actually about the game, rather than how rubbish some people think it is. Gives me some things to try out tomorrow ...... and I didn't know you could overcharge some grenades until now either, so thanks for the info. For melee builds... Warlock Winter's Guile Exotic + Voidwalker Attunement of Hunger. (PvE) Titan Synthoceps Exotic + Striker Code of the Juggernaut.

        • I did nightstalker bottom tree but didn't unlock the 4th perk and I make an undescribable number of orbs when I tether.. and lately I've been practicing my blade dancing and have been getting good at killing Titan smashes in super 1v1s. I use top arc stridey tree

        • Try Nzarecs Sin with a fusion rifle, all void and consume a grenade when going into a group. Your unkillable.

        • I think that Attunement of Hunger Warlock with Crimson and a couple of good void weapons looks downright indestructible. Throw on Nazarec's SIn for ability recharge, so you'll have Devour active as much as possible (and can pull out Crimson when you don't).

        • You act like stats, gear, specc, exotics actually do anything. Face it, Destiny 2 is an Ego-shooter with a couple of long-cooldown-gimmicks thrown in.

          • Voidwalker Warlock: Path of Hunger Helm: Resilience (Resilience Mod) Arms: Ophidian Aspect [EXOTIC] (Energy Counterbalance Mod) Chest: Resilience (Any Mod; I prefer Kinetic Counterbalance for maps that favor Vigilance Wing) Legs: Resilience (Recovery Mod) Bond: Any (Energy Bracket Mod) You should have 1 Mobility / 7 Resilience / 7 Recovery Kinetic Slot: MIDA Multi-tool [EXOTIC] Energy Slot: The Hero's Burden (Iron Banner SMG) Power Slot: Eternity's Edge (Warlock-specific Sword) Grenade: Vortex or Axion Bolt (I prefer Vortex for the area control) Rift: Healing Jump: Blink This build is all about high-risk, high reward gameplay. It snowballs very well if you are good at handling an SMG. Here's how it works: Use MIDA for moving around the map. You can use it as a standoff weapon if you need to, but you're mostly using it for a speed boost. If you REALLY need a powerful standoff weapon, Vigilance Wing is more powerful if you can land headshots; it has better range and time-to-kill, and you are more likely to get SOME damage on every trigger pull even if your target is good at dodging. Your main goal is to close with your enemy and melt them with your SMG. This is all about flanking: 1. Use Blink and MIDA's speed boost to move around the map at an insane speed. 2. Get into position and wait for your teammates to engage the enemy team. 3. Jump into position with Blink, shoot down at a target, and hit it with an Ophidian-extended melee attack to finish it off and gain Devour. 4. Blink into cover and reload if necessary, then repeat from a different direction. Every time you get a kill your Devour resets. Ophidian Aspect cranks your neutral game to 11, making your weapons ADS and reload faster (like having a free reload and bracket mod) and extends your melee range dramatically (beyond even what a Stormcaller has). This build takes patience and excellent map knowledge to run. In general, the other team will know you are there and may send someone to try to handle you, so you need to be good at 1v1s or making hasty escapes. However, if you can aim an SMG well you have the best time-to-kill in the game by far (under a second!) and can usually win the 1v1s. If you get power ammo you can really go all-in on the enemy team. Lead with an aerial SMG attack as before, but after landing your first kill, swap to your sword and go to town. Eternity's Edge has excellent range and average swing speed, so you should be able to pick up another kill easily. Since you get all your health back every time you kill someone, your best bet is to keep pressing the attack. If your team collapses on the enemy team at the same time you can clean them up. You are also EXCELLENT at chasing down wounded runners. Don't forget that you can eat your grenade before going in if your melee attack is down. This build works best in Competitive or Trials. The very fast-paced nature of quickplay devalues the power of rapidly knocking out one or two players, since they respawn so quickly. It does take practice, but SMGs retain most of their accuracy in the air so once you are good you should get consistent results. Remember that you don't have to ADS with an SMG at close range if you need to chase someone who is running away -- just Blink after them and spray & pray.

Been playing with transversive steps on my Dawnblade lately... Died a few times underestimating the length of that dash XD Straight off the edge of the map I go lol. . Hella fun though. Been finding more success with the super by using it while walking rather than airborne. x then space, to dash towards them and one hit kill, a quick side dash to force the next one to miss, one hit kill, repeat side dashes until team wiped, or land if no more enemies in sight. Otherwise, you seem to attract a lot of attention with the whole warlock floofing thing.

                        • On my hunter I've been using the Rat King while on the top tree of nightstalker while wearing Graviton Forfeit. I would dodge, sneak behind an enemy, kill, reload, and do it again.

                        • Voidlock Devourer Build Bottom path of Void Warlock Exotic Armor: Winters Guile Optional Exotic Weapon: Ratking Jump: Blink
While Using Devour you are Nearly Immortal

A Yellow Bar Servitor with 9 Shanks around it would be like a full magazine of Merciless in damage
Try to have armor mods that regens your melee and grenades quickly. What to Do 1. Make sure your Melee or Grenade is Ready 2. Find a Big Group of Enemies 3. Find the weakest one and either use your grenade to start devour or if using your Melee punch it in the Face 4. If it doesn't die keep hitting it. 5. Go from enemy to enemy punching them in the face 6. Keep doing this until you run out of enemies to punch. 7. Repeat and Grow Fat from Strength While Using Devour you are Nearly Immortal What are the Exotics For Winter's Guile: After your first kill you get more and more damage per kill. Your first hit should take a red bar down to 1/3 after hitting it again it should die. Killing it Resets both of the Countdowns and adds a multiplier on Winter's Guile 5 is the max multiplier in Winter's Guile. The reason it is so good is because you only need to hit red bars once after the first time and When you reach *5 you do crazy amounts of damage. After Reaching *5 you are doing insane amounts of damage per punch. It can one hit Minotaurs/Centurions and 2 hit Orange Bars. Against Yellow Bars it does the Damage of Merciless without recharging it you can easily get 3-4 punches in, and if you hit 2-3 times and then hit a red bar you reset both devour and Winter's Guile. Meaning A Yellow Bar Servitor with 9 Shanks around it would be like a full magazine of Merciless in damage. Ratking: I use Ratking when I know I will be dealing with wide open spaces or lots of Snipers. This Method can be Done with Blink but is less precise. If a Group of enemies is too far away I use Ratking to shoot the one closest reloading turns me invisible. I then sprint to the Enemies and begin Devouring. Weaknesses You can easily die to Fanatics or the hive version of them. I forgot what they are called. Due to the Chaining and Residue. Avoid Hobgoblins when low on Devourer time because they will go into shielded mode. You will die if the enemies get to spaced out. Tips and Tricks Use Blink when an enemy is far enough away instead of sprinting. Get ahead of your teammates because they will kill your food for devour. Winters Guile has a Shorter timer than Devour so make sure you Pay attention to it. Use Ratking's invisibility to avoid being shot at while running towards a group of enemies Be Careful because some Bosses may stomp at you.

The one I can’t give up, well for PVE. Striker Titan with the Skullfort. Run with top tree. Double grenades, being refilled by shoulder charge melees. Basically in any mode there are almost always low level ads. Shoulder charge the middle one, get a kill or three. Boom, instant grenades back and melee as well due to the Skullfort!
