They have sniper rifles that aren't in the powered slot. They're called scout rifles. Use them. Sniper rifles and shotguns are for the pve content. If you want a cheap no skill one hit kill weapon, use rocket launchers like everyone else.
Shotguns shouldn't be in the powered slot. They also shouldn't be one hit kill weapons. But they have too many -blam!-ing weapon types and now they can't balance anything.

"A cheap no skill one hit kill weapon"? lol Yeah, what were they thinking creating weapons to work as intended. Do you even play any other games then Destiny that you guys have literally helped nerfed to the ground? The weapons were not the problem when it comes to PvP. It's always been Bungie's poor design creating small maps and their 2001 spawn system.

I'm not all that good at using snipers myself when it comes to PvP, but it doesn't take brain sugary to figure out that not just anyone can get good at using one like this guy tried to put it out to be.

All you gotta do to get good is use it haha. Even the worst player will get it if they keep carrying it and sniping is the most rewarding feeling because of the difficulty factor. I miss the Hereafter 😭😭

Snipers have always been a cheap weapon. They require no skill and the aim assist physics are too biased. If you need one hit weapons to have an edge then you aren't a skilled player. They didn't remove sniper rifles to make the game easier for low skill players. They removed them because they were tired of no skill sniper campers ruining their game. Have a problem with it? All you have to do is make bungie care about your opinion. You'd be the first to achieve this so good luck on that.

I only play pve, I've never used shotguns, fusion rifles or snipers. Why use those and get into a gun fight when Wardcliff just wipes majors in one hit? They're not powerful enough to justify their use.
