The Colony: Best PVP Power Weapon. A True Exotic.
This gun is a blast. Those little spiders just skitter around the corner and blow up the whole group. Not a one shot kill but makes for easy kills of the ones who survive.
This is what an exotic should be. Feels truly different than only other power weapon.
Does a good job in PVE also.

I love it. It's one of my new favorites and has proven to be useful in PvP, not just PvE. I just want to get it to reload faster.

Just a pro tip to countering it. Jump. Seriously!!! The amount of times I have had someone fire all 4 spidernades at me and I killed them is insane. I literally just jumped and killed them mid-air. All you need is Half Decent Hipfire tracking!!!!!! It is such an easy weapon to avoid dying to!!! JUST USING LITERALLY 2 BRAIN CELLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [spoiler]As you can tell, my main character is a titan and I use a kinetic SMG, which has the lowest TtK of all non Power weapons in optimal circumstances (All head shots). Though seriously, when people try to kill me with that thing I normally just laugh![/spoiler]

Totally agree. If bungie made all exotics fun and unique like this it will have such an impact on the game . Hopefully no more garbage like fighting lion or graviton lance in the future .

On a couple of the heroic Mercury adventures it's great for taking down the boss's shield when you run them solo, I like it a lot, it adds fun and this game needs all the extra fun it can get.

Players seem to enjoy it and due to it's performance in pvp we are making the following adjustments to bring it in line to make it just as weak and boring as the other exotics. •Reduced grenade and spider drone blast damage. So it will take two drones to kill guardians. •Reduced grenade and spider drone blast radius to the size of a single guardians hit box. •Reduced tracking of spider drones to only one variant or turn of the drones original path. •Reduced the speed of spider drone to that it is comparable to axion bolt. •Gave the spider drone a large hit box so players can easily detonate an incoming drone. •Reduced the time the spider drone will remain active before detonating to 1 second. •Reduced magazine size and overall ammo capacity to a four round magazine and two in reserve. This give players six rounds total. We are making these changes so that in the hands of a skilled guardian with luck might kill two guardians in pvp and jack squat in pve. We will be deploying these changes in a hotfix coming soon. Thank you -Bungie Dev Team-

4 RepliesI just got it today. It's actually really fun. I like it. Only good grenade launcher in the game. Have not used it in pvp. It's great in pve for those pesky minotaurs that rush you and get too close for a launcher.

Agree, it's good in PvP but more importantly it's amazing for pve, that's my to go weapon for strikes and such. Loved grenade launchers but didn't like the misses or low damage, both of which colony has fixed lol

Got mine first day of update and it has been ridiculously fun! I always carry it with whatever character I run with since I got it, either equipped or in my reserve. I agree it is truly a very fun gun and so unique.

So much fun getting those groups that want to hold each other's dicks and watch them scatter or find that corner campers with a sword crouching then all of a suddenly two spiders pop up "suprise mother-blam!-er"
