Analysis of 3 of Coins. Don't waste your time.
7 hours of non-stop play on 2 Three of Coins
Played solo and with party.
Switched to all 3 characters.
Completed:
Heroic Strikes
Strikes
Nightfalls
Public Events
Total Exotics: 0

Edit: We tested 3 more 3oC with Fireteam Medallions active. No exotics dropped at all out of way more than 150 chests (we stopped counting). We then tested just Fireteam medallions and we all got exotics within 30 minutes of PEs. It appears that the 3oC also kills exotic chances when paired with Fireteam Medallions. Just a heads up.

(And I grinding all day for those stupid ass Strike/Crucible forge weapon shit) Popped another and got 1 from a public event. I've gotten 3 from those "Vanguard boon" tokens so far. So those are better in my opinion.

4 hours farming public events...I’m talking 30-35 loot chests Zero exotics I seriously think 3oC eliminates the chance of an exotic. Just another shit show from the destiny team. Who do I have to blow to get a job (pun intended) at bungie. It seems no matter how bad they -blam!- up, they are never reprimanded or fired.

Same crap happened to bought 2 and ran strikes and pubs all day and not one dang exotic. Not really happy with the way they have screwed the whole loot system over again. They did something similar in d1 but later was like whoops we f$&ked that up and fixed it. I bet since CO dropped I have got one exotic out of 50 plus pubs. I really hope they roll back some of the crap they tweaked and just quit messing with the game.

Not like the any of the exotics are actually good. Personally, i dont use any of the exotic weapons in my loadouts except for maybe the Wardcliff Coil for Public events. Other than that, none of my exotics see the light of day. Im sure what most of us are interested at the moment are those masterwork weapons. Gonna farm up those masterwork cores since their drop rate is so low. Near exotic dupe rate

Number of exotic engrams in 4 hours without a 3 of Coins: 2. Number of Exotic Engrams after 2.5 hours and giving up: 0. Fireteam Medalions have been criticized for being crap as well. I'll just wait for every weekend to buy a Fated Engram.

I got 2 exotics in the first hour and a half from farming public events. What's really weird is that I just got an exotic engram to drop on Mercury for completing a patrol. I shit you not.

I bought a few. Used one for a few hours, no exotics dropped so I won’t be buying them anymore. I need armor and consumables that double my glimmer intake. I can’t keep glimmer

The real question is... why did we need them? Loot dropping was never a problem for me in D2. The loot that [i]was dropping[/i] was the problem. As in none of it was exciting.

Yup. Pop one, played for 4 hours and got 0 exotics. Jumped back on a few hours later and played with a friend and he gets an exotic drop from a heroic strike without a 3oC. Not worth the shards.

Did you check to see if the buff is account-based? The fireteam medallion isn't, so I wouldn't be surprised if 3oC isn't either.

Yeah I think they are badly bugged and actually make it almost impossible to get an exotic. Because I didn’t anything at all in about 5 hours of using them myself.
