Analysis of 3 of Coins. Don't waste your time.
7 hours of non-stop play on 2 Three of Coins
Played solo and with party.
Switched to all 3 characters.
Completed:
Heroic Strikes
Strikes
Nightfalls
Public Events
Total Exotics: 0

Edit: We tested 3 more 3oC with Fireteam Medallions active. No exotics dropped at all out of way more than 150 chests (we stopped counting). We then tested just Fireteam medallions and we all got exotics within 30 minutes of PEs. It appears that the 3oC also kills exotic chances when paired with Fireteam Medallions. Just a heads up.

Problem i have, i dont trust these items. All the scummy secret throttling in many aspects and ambiguous MTX buffs that cant easily be verified they are working....no thanks. Im still convinced i get XP throttled, and not sure the XP tokens are even worth it. As for loot...i still reach a point where everything is a single token, havent farmed this sandbox update enough to see if they cut the empty chest lameness out though. Either way, these buffs are far too ambiguous and theres a very recent history of the developer scumming the numbers to funnel more people into buying these items. Come out with hard number increases the community can verify work.

Or you could be like me! 4 shinobu’s vows and one Prometheus lens... after xur showed up last week. Luckily he gave me the colony this time. Pretty much lost all faith in exotics. If the drop rate wasn’t bad enough, chances of getting existing gear is even worse. Wish they could figure out ways to get CoO specific exotic drops. And not just one highly priced exotic engram from xur. I’ve had the jester ornament since drop day and not a chance to use them. Played every day for at least 2 hours because I’m afraid to admit any more time wasted on a fruitless goal.

They reduced the drop rate of exotics and you have to buy three of coins to get it back to where it used to be. We were playing with a permanent three of coins without having to spend anything. Classic bungie

2 RepliesOh sick. So I just wasted 120 shards on nothing but useless consumables. Really, they should just make 3 of Coins 80 shards and guarantee an exotic whenever you kill an Elite enemy.

A friend and I were both running 3oc and played for six hours. He got one exotic. I got zero. I ended up getting one exotic 2 hours after my 3oc expired. They are a waste of shards. 3oc are either totally bogus or totally bungo’d.

Same. 8 hours worth of Nightfalls, Crucible/Trials, Strikes, two 3oCs used, zero exotics.

I'll never buy them again absolute garbage. When u switch characters or log out the timer should stop. Seems like they make you get less exotics

1 ReplyI used 3oc and the strike buff with the paragon buff and pulled abou four exotics and about three hours. Idk how I feel about them yet.

I got 1 in 4 hours!! And then it was a bloody duplicate!!

I played for straight four hours and only got one exotic while using them, played another four while a fireteam medallion and got nothing.
