Any tips on lucid dreaming?

I'm trying to start lucid dreaming, so I was hoping the Flood could share some tips on how to do so. I came close once, but the moment I was aware that I was dreaming the -blam!- hit the fan. I was on a plane and the plane started to crash, right into Mount Rushmore. But anyways, do you guys have any tips?

 • When you're in that state in between sleep and awake like when an alarm jolts you from sleep but you aren't ready to wake up yet, wiggle your index and middle finger slowly back and forth as if you were making a drumming beat on your desk. Don't think about your fingers, just try falling back asleep. Do this for about 30-45 seconds then plug your nose and try breathing. If you can breathe then you are in a lucid dream. If not, keep wiggling your fingers and concentrate on falling back asleep. Have fun. Also, it helps if you keep a dream journal.

 • I've been a lucid dreamer since I was six, when I stopped a recurring nightmare that the Sand People (Tuskan Raiders, not Arabs) were trying to get me (it was when A New Hope came back out in theaters in '96) by getting Super Saiyan Goku to save me. Ever since then I've had control whenever I wanted it.

 • You've been preforming your reaity checks, right? Make sure to keep a dream journal as well, and be patient with it. It took me 3 weeks to become Lucid.

 • Ive ALMOST become lucid like 3 times. The first 2 times I was doubting that im actually dreaming, and drifted back off. The last time I remebered the clock thing, and became lucid for a few seconds, but I think I started doubting again or lost concentration and lost it again. Damnit

 • I got this off of 4chan earlier last month I've tried it but it's hard. I have lucid dreamt though in the past, and it's awesome because they usually involve performing "certain acts".

First time I woke up after being tabbed in the back with a knife, Could still feel the knife Second time fell of a waterfall and woke up in the position I saw my dead body floating down the river. Both times it happened it was honestly more frustrating than scary, mainly because I knew what was going on so I didn't panic and went back to sleep.

Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory gave me a tour of the Star Wars Kamino clone factory. I realised I was dreaming, and decided to GTFO of that place!

I think that movie has been written....
