TLDR: Where is the variety in gameplay?
I'm going nuts over here, there is so much potential for making gear and classes actually fun but you refuse to do anything about it.
Your idea of destiny is to just have everyone walk around, boots firmly planted on the ground, and team shot people to death with assault rifles. Excuse me for thinking destiny would be a game that combines more than one way to play. Titanfall has more variety than this game.
Occasionally you get to turn a certain color once a game and half the time you get killed during the animation.
Why the hell is there a grind for mercury gear when they have the same old boring perks? Why the hell are there no special perks that set end game weapons and armor apart from one another. I and other people like grinding and working towards a goal, but its not even worth it. The saint 14 shotgun made me depressed because i realized that shotguns were considered powerweapons in this game, so ill only be able to use it for like 17 shots then i have to go back to my AR.
Subclasses should make a huge impact on how you COULD play, exotics should be POWERFUL and Impactful. That was the whole reason why you can only equip one armor and one weapon. 98% of the exotics are so laughably boring and weak, i wonder why you even tried.
If i'm going to choose warlock, i expect to be a space wizard. If i choose titan, i expect to be stronk. If i play hunter, i expect to be swift.
If everything is Powerful, its balanced. Stop disrespecting your own creation.
PS: why did you design a subclass based around aerial combat when the in air accuracy will make you loose a fire fight 100% of the time? At least remove the penalty if you are wearing Wings of sacred dawn(which btw makes you fall as soon as you unscope while using the attunement that lets you shoot while gliding).

You’re right. The problem isn’t balance. It’s the kind of balance Weisznewski and the Sandbox team has been trying to impose on the game. The slow, plodding TTK of Halo is simply not compatible with the feeling of power that pve players want. But the Sandbox team and Weapons dev team under Weisznewski’s leadership seems to either be utterly cluessless about or stubbornly refuse to respect that need for what is the majority of the player base.
