2 RepliesAnyone else feel like it was just cliche generic crap. Bad guys have them on the ropes good guys pull off a miracle and the bad guys lose. Plus Kyle ren must be the biggest b!tch of a villain out of all the star wars movies. Disney don't have the balls to actually make a interesting story.

While entertaining, I found it devoid of that Star Wars magic. It felt like it was trying to be the 8th and 9th movie at the same time, and everything had literally no meaning or impact. I'd put it above Revenge of the Sith for SFX only. Below TFA, Rogue One, and the Original Trilogy. Spoilers: [spoiler]What was the mirror place? Why was it connected to the dark side? Who was Snoke? Why did Snoke do anything? How powerful was Snoke? Why did no one care for the Resistance? Why couldn't the First Order cut the Resistance off?Why didn't the Vice-Admiral tell them about the plan to go to the salt planet? Why wasnt the codebreaker subplot cut?[/spoiler]

That was the best and most unpredictable movie ever. It had a different feel to Star Wars (in a good way). Still sucks that we didn't know much of Snoke and Phasma but it was still AWESOME! I was speechless...

[spoiler]They advertise Phasma in the posters, show her off in the trailers yet she gets such a small amount of screen time once again. I want Phasma to be present and active in the plot, rather than filler and a throw away character.[/spoiler]

Opinions are subjective but I really liked it, for me it competes with Revenge of the Sith which is either first or second (depending on what I think of TLJ after seeing it again). Only part I didn’t like was Finn and Rose going to that casino place. Other than that, the jokes never once felt like they costed the movie, it paid great homage to old characters while not distracting from the new, and let’s not forget that fight with the Praetorian guard.

Really reminded me of the absurdity and badassery of 40k in a sense.[/spoiler] [spoiler]The Kylo/Rey royal guard fight was amazing. We finally got to see Kylo duke it out proper, and for a split second I really thought this would have been Kylo's turning point. Guess I was wrong.[/spoiler] [spoiler]After a bit of introspection, I don't believe Luke is really gone. Dead, yes, but he'll be back Obi-wan style, to screw with Ben. 1 ReplyI thought it was beautifully shot, with some great scenes (throne room fight, hyperspace kamikaze, red sand speeders), but overly stuffed with subplots that go nowhere and Mark Hamill tragically wasted. The story felt rushed, like they were writing against the clock. Like some of the elements they hit on were great, the throne room had me excited: would they join together? For good or bad? Would they switch sides? But then it falls back into the same old Star Wars tropes. Wish they'd had more time to think these ideas through.

To kill off Snoke that quick was to pointless. I still think he is alive but who knows. Rey is related to Obi Wan some how. That boy at the end is Anakin 2.0

I mean forget all the lore videos your fans have made over the last two years and the crystal ring... Just toss this supremenly powerful being aside by being tricked fairly easily... might have ruined the whole new trilogy for me... I mean if Kylo is really the end game villain that is pathetic...
