If tradition follows Xur will be on Mercury this week. Someone clearly didn’t think this one through.

3 Repliesor they DID think that one through serves you guys right for bitching and moaning. you don’t buy the DLC because it SUCKS, but you want the DLC weapons and content? GTFO
-
Clickbait. Moving on.
-
He’s not locked, just like how trials is not locked as last by as it is not a new map Locked means permanently behind a paywall, or for an extended period of time, not once every month or so.
-
1 ReplyBut the question is where I mean there’s only one spot he could appear that no enemies show up And that the lighthouse itself so I don’t think he’ll be on mercury this weekend but who knows
-
2 RepliesI hope he's on Mercury and he has crimson.

If no one cares about buying the DLC for $20 why would they care about not having access to xur for a week?

Otherwise these are blatant tactics to devalue a users purchase and get them to spend money to gain it back. Funny thing is it devalues their game, the work of those in the studio, and the name bungie itself as well. So if that's what they want then have at it. I know I will eventually lose all trust in the studios ability to do anything noteworthy. No one should have what they bought literally change to have less value because the one who created it personally did so. It's not a question of bungie setting that expectation either, it's just not agreeable. Proof of that being that you know they aren't going to clearly warn people that the game will be like this. People just won't buy it, and they know that, so they should really just stop. It's disingenuous to the max. Oh and I have the DLC, so spare the moronic excuses like "it's only 20 bucks" or whatever.
-
WTF, is xur here already?
-
LOL, good. now all the "Xur is useless" threads will change to "I need Xur!"
-
Yes Bungie expects people who are continuing to play Destiny buy the DLC. If you can't get to Xur on Mercury too bad for that week.
-
Shit your right. Damn
-
6 RepliesI'm so going to piss myself laughing if he is on Mercury... The salt would reach terminal amounts here
-
Good. I approve.
-
If you didn't buy the dlc why should you care? Xur has always sold weapons that are not at the power level that has been at the time current content. I don't see why Xur should matter at all to the people who hold onto the base game.
-
1 ReplyYou still play but no DLC? Seems legit......
-
8 RepliesSo now we are complaining about things in the future that may or may not happen ? Are you vex ? Have you seen the time line ? Or are you just psychic ?
-
13 RepliesThe dlc is 20 dollars. If you can’t afford 20 dollars. Sell your Xbox. You shouldn’t be playing.
-
Would not be a permanent paywall though. Due to nature of how he works, players can just wait until next week.

4 RepliesEdited by Super68: 12/13/2017 11:39:19 AMI think at some point (now is a good time) there has to be a compromise between allowing D2 vanilla only people to continue to play the original game functionality, and allowing Curse of Osirus purchasers to reap at least some of the benefits of their investment (already having had the best source of high level rewards taken away). I'm suppose I'm fine if vanilla only folks have to take one week off of five off because they chose not to purchase the DLC. Even if Xur offers something a vanilla player doesn't have while on Mercury, it's not like he will definitely never offer that item again at a later date. If a player wants the item bad enough now, they will need to make a call as to whether or not they make the decision to purchase CoO I suppose.
-
8 RepliesIf he's there 1/5th of the time that's not bad, considering you apparently get to buy DLC exotics from him without buying the DLC. That's not just a fair tradeoff, but an overly generous one I'd say.
-
Don't worry, the whiner/non-dlc owners will get that resolved.
-
1 ReplyOff course they thought it through, their arrogant attitude thought that everyone would be on Mercury!
-
It’s pretty simple. If you don’t buy the dlcs, I would honestly just stop playing. Because something will be behind a paywall w

5 RepliesQUIT THIS -blam!-ING CRYING

4 RepliesBut people did not buy the DLC because "This game sucks" right? So why would those people care about Xur?
