This is such greedy bullshit. Damn I wish that people would just go back to the way games were instead of trying to sell you a game piece by piece. Expansions should be free or illegal. I am this close from never buying another video game again. And you can bet your ass I'm not letting any of my future kids buy them either if this shit keeps getting out of control. It's pretty simple Bungie! STOP THINKING ABOUT THE MONEY AND START CARING ABOUT THE PEOPLE! Otherwise the people leave. And your precious money goes bye-bye.

    • Okay, lets not make too big of an issue here yet. But I do want to ask do you guys prefer cosmetic micro transactions or the price of the game going up $40? Games have not gone up in price in a long time, but they cost more than ever to make...something has to give.

      • 1. Destiny 2....especially on the PVE side...isn't having game design problems. They just need to tweak the end-game economy. PVP, is a different story. 2. That job posting was probably planned weeks-to-months ago-----before the SWBF2 situation blew up, and they had a chance to see how the "Eververse End game" was being so poorly received by the community here. So it probably went out (according to schedule) before they made the decision to go in a different direction. If you ask me, I think Bungie is having an internal struggle over the direction that the game should evolve. IMO, there is a fundamental split between the development team----which gave us vanilla D1 and D2----on one side....and the Live Team and the people who gave us The Taken King on the other. I think D2 was made according to the Dev Teams wishes....and against the wishes of The Live Team....and that fell flat. Now Bungie is walking the changes back. So I think Bungie probably won't fill that position....or will change the nature of the job in question.

        • So they want to make Eververse feel like a complete, realized project instead of a pile of random loot. I don’t see the problem. You people need to stop creating and spreading this false narrative. It makes you look stupid, naive and petulant.

EA just did this with Battlefront 2 and it completely backfired. Why would bungie think this is a good idea?

                • I have a feeling that they wont be hiring many more people, and more likely will need to shed people as the money from launch dries up... Cant sell your lame loot boxes when 78% of the playerbase quit a month ago...i can only imagine its closer to 90% now. Went around today trying to do PE in all the planets, most events were running with no one around...mercury had one guy in the tower and no one on the map when i cleared the LS. IO had a few "not even lv 20 yet players" doing the PE all wrong...probably new players who got the game on sale or something. Things seem pretty low key for a DLC weekend if you ask me, nothing like the first two weekends where everything was packed and all the events were popping at once with big packs of players....even a month in strikes were popping within 30 seconds.

They do not care because they catters to the dumbest crowd of gamers you can find aka CoDtards. You can milk them like a cow, sooner or later they'll notice and get mad. A month later, all you gotta do is spend some money on marketing hype and they'll forget everything that was done to them and buy into the hype, and then get milked AGAIN. Destiny players have trouble learning from their past mistakes... you know what that reminds me off of? Of Bungie themselves rofl.

                    • This is a bad thing, not a good thing. It means bungie accepts that player retention is about content in bright engrams, not end game activity. It means spend time in our game doing anything, not something, as the rewards are the same regardless of what you do - bright engrams.

I applied. I'm going to turn everything into a micro transactions. You like using your sparrows? Well when I'm done you're going to have to buy gas for it with silver. And the maps are going to be giant spread out landscapes that take hours to cross by foot. Do you like ammo? Well in d3 there will be no more ammo drops. Just consumable that you have to buy with silver! Like reloading in the crucible? More than three reloads in a life is going to cost you. Like changing your gear? Infusing? Silver. And if you think this is going to be some free to play game you're out of you mind. It's going to be 59.99 with 39.99 expansion every month that lock you out of all the content except soccer in the tower and buying loot boxes.

                      • I feel like the role is vastly misinterpreted. In the description of the job it doesn't once say an eververse based progression system. It is probably just a poorly named job.

                        • It has been around the net, but it is a clear sign (as if we needed anymore) that Bungie are comfortable with unethical business practices at the cost of their consumers. On top of introducing a paywall for content already paid for, they seem to know no lows.
