Public event rewards ?
Why do I mostly only get a single token for doing public events ??
Have they introduced another pointless cooldown ?
Or are we taking 2 steps backward again ??
Why spend 5 minutes doing something for a reward I can get out of any chest ????
So confused

2 RepliesI'm one of the top PVE players in the world 1076 public events when I logged on yesterday and after three events the only thing I got was one token each time from then on not one exotic engram drops either.

4 RepliesYou are maybe just having crap luck, I've received 6 total exotic engrams from publics, since last Tuesday. RNG just doesn't like you or something. Today's patch should correct your problem, they have actually made getting stuff super easy with all the changes. Exotics will rain down from the sky. Bungie is so confused about what a large portion of their dedicated players what from this game, it's sad.

Additionally if you kill the rare event spawn you get another 3 tokens. Why should you be rewarded heavily for so little and so easily repeat-able... they grant a "chance" to drop rare, legend and a small chance for exotic. Legend mens 3+ legend shards and exotic drop increases with the buffs available in the game after ther 12th tomorrow. To answer your question: An event grants experience and it has a larger chance to drop better rewards but it isnt guaranteed, I do not know when this mentality began to grow so bad but i remember back when i played Halo i didnt expect a reward for wiping my ass... heck i was perfectly content playing with friends and having fun... Now i see people who think trolling is a trend and try to keep it that way by forcefully upvoting eachother even if its not unique but just a poor copy paste.... If rewards is what gets you playing then go elsewhere, i know i will be downvoted for liking this game which is odd but its understandable as they fear its a threat to their troll trend thats been running on multiple games lately... note: imagine if every 2nd or 3rd event gave exotics... that would be catering to your wish however by then you would change 180 degree's saying there is not enough loot or its too easy to get. remember to think about what you want and its consequence.

1 ReplyHave you tried the event on Mercury? According to Bungie it's the most rewarding event ever, and I can confirm this. Last time I ran it I got no less than TWO tokens!

1 ReplyTotally agree. And how about turning the new DLC public event heroic, you get the same exact reward you get from doing it regular so what’s the point. A whole extra token regardless. If you’re lucky a blue useless item. No point even farming anything on Mercury, you can get the same crap anywhere else with the exception of forged weapons. But hey, this is a collection game. Yea, you collect legendary shards. Farm engrams, decrypt them, say wow, “got this item 5 times today” dismantle, go to weapon smith, get same crap again, dismantle..... it’s like being stuck in a never ending loop lol

Maybe it’s because people complained about duplicates. People also complained there wasn’t enough of a grind. Now people are complaining there aren’t duplicates and the grind is too much. Strange people.

11 RepliesToday i completed many public events, and i noticed something very fishy. After completing a Heroic Event my xp bar wouldn't fill up & even worse the game doesnt even notify me of how much xp i just got from doing the event. 0 information = i smell a con, hell we can't even see how much xp is needed for us to fill the xp bar to get an ENGRAM. Why hide that simple information huh ? This game is literally a clown fiesta, with a studio that does its best to ruin the experience of its most dedicated players by either slowing down xp progression to force X player into using his wallet, locking content behind a slot machine (for christ sake this is a looter) loot is what keeps us playing, don't LOCK loot behind a slot MACHINE ---> i DO NOT LIKE GAMBLING. I want to earn loot by doing specific things, not by praying to RNjesus to give me X or Y item i so wish to have. f this game , f bungie , f activision , and f any fanboy that keeps sucking their D ...

Can confirm that only tokens drop from PE now unless you have luck on your side. Did 30 events and got 37 tokens in total

2 RepliesYeah it's been nerfed so the new Mercury one "is the most rewarding" 2 tokens and a blue. Crucible and strikes were brought up though, so it's not all bad.

2 RepliesSo I was on Mercury for 3 hours. Running from area to area collecting chests, killing HVTs, etc and guess how many token I got. You guessed it.....32. Turned in all 32 token in hopes of getting an armor piece and.....you guessed it....another Call To Serve and Shaders. Turned the game off and started playing The Division.

4 RepliesIts heroic public event, its the easiest activity in D2. Are you seriously complaining you arent getting an exotic drop from a public event. Exotics are suppose to be rewarding, i rather have exotic engram removed and xur only sold exotic quest.

2 RepliesBungie saw that we were doing PE cos they were fun, you got to run around with other Guardians shooting stuff, feeling badass amongst the multi coloured mayhem of supers and grenades and rockets for 7 minutes or so. Then you opened a chest and had a chance of getting some cool stuff! FUN! All without match making or waiting to find a fire team on a third party app? So, Bungie said - Fun? And cool loot? No, no,nnnnnnno! Screw that for a game of space magic marines! So they nerfed the chests....
