Freeze and Crash

CPU: i7 6800K GPU: MSI 1080 Gaming X 8GB RAM: G.Skill Trident 4x8gb 3600mhz GPU Driver Version: 388.59 Operating System:Windows 10 Pro Version 1709 OS build 16299.98 DxDiag: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p89d2ugh0o6ncup/DxDiag.txt?dl=0 Issue Information Destination/Activity: Dear Support team I know that this issue has been raised several times and i would hate to be an annoyance to you. My issue like other users have pointed out is that at random times in-game be that 5 minutes or 30 the game freezes and after 10-20 seconds the game crashes it happens on any map, i am not sure if it happens if the player is idly running around but in my case i had been running for missions so far i had no freeze crashes on main story missions. mostly on side ones but i might be mistaken since have not tried to idly run around for 30 mins. i have tried disabling startup apps restarted the PC, Scanned and Repaired via the blizzard launcher, but the crashing problem persists,my OS and all my drivers are up to date. i even tried lowering the graphic settings from high to low and custom. thought it might have a conflict with g-sync monitor but still was not able to find a solution. I stopped playing the game for the moment since i find it annoying to restart the missions after every crash. I spend more time Loading the and starting the game then actual game playing Hopefully you will be able to find a fix soon. Would love to continue to play the game.(needless to say that i don't want to consider my money ill spent) Best Regards Artur

  • Hi, Scan for faulty ram with windows memory diagnostic. If it doesn't find any faulty ram. Try removing two ramsticks and check if you still have this problem. Because it fixed it for me by doing that. Destiny is bad with handling ram over 16gb...

  • Hi, CPU: Ryzen5 1600 GPU: Gigabyte 1060 Gtx 6gb RAM: 2x8Gb Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz GPU Driver Version: 388.59 Operating System: Windows 10 Pro Version 1709 OS build 16299.98 DxDiag: https://pastebin.com/SVCcfQAM Issue: Same here. Random crash, no crash report, only 'Destiny2.exe stopped wroking'. The timing is very random, sometime I'm able to play 1-2h, sometimes it stops after 15mins. Crash happens at random in-game locations since the DLC update. Windows eventlog: https://pastebin.com/dVyaaMZW /Miku

  • This is just incredible, never been so mad at a company over a game. I bought the game on PC since release and I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO PLAY IT FOR MORE than 20 mins without a freaking crash. They don't even answer here to the people that are having crashes. I can't even refund the game. After the latest update, I am having 15 fps when I used to have 90fps and then after 3 mins, it crashes at the same spot. THIS IS JUST SO MUCH BULLSHIT I just can't. I gave this game 2 months before they fixed the issues, I did everything they told me, updated everything, ALL UP TO DATE. As a customer, I expected a good treat for us but all I get is Bungie is ignoring all us. I learned my lesson and now I know it all they want is my money, I just really wanted to enjoy the game but after the DLC stuff that is locking content we all paid this just proofs how shady this company is.

  • CPU: i7 6700HQ GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M RAM: 16 GB GPU Driver Version: 388.59 Operating System:Windows 10 Home, Version 1709, Build 16299.98 DxDiag: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jxv538s2m2om8o3/DxDiag.txt?dl=0 Same issue here. Timing is slightly different though - for me, destiny 2 crashes approximately every 2-4 hours. Also, here are some Windows Event Logs: Application Hang: The program destiny2.exe version 60993.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. • Yup same thing crashing again. Same set up as you. I am thinking the last nivida update might have something to do with it? We will never get a response here. They are putting out to many fires elsewhere
