Anyone going to mention the fact that Osiris calls Sagira “little light”. Stranger calls your ghost little light in vanilla D1. Any connections? There’s gotta be something there?

Sagira is filled with light and she’s small in size.

3 RepliesEdited by gallp13: 12/8/2017 6:36:00 AMLikely connection...... The Stranger worked with Osiris. She used stolen and modified Vex tech to travel in space and time. The tech was procured and modified by Osiris and his followers on Mercury. During his travels in the Vex simulator on Mercury, Osiris discovered the existence of the black garden and the heart and determined it needed to be destroyed. Osiris assigned the task of finding a champion to enter the Black garden and destroy the heart to the Stranger. The Stranger traveled across space and time finding various Guardians and, by manipulating circumstances, encouraged them to best the hive on the moon and then the Vex on Venus. You were the only Guardian who was strong enough to make to through the hive to the World Grave on the moon and so receive instruction from the Stranger to go to Venus and “discover” and beat the Vex. It was at the end of this battle that the Stranger used the phase “little light” used so often by her associate Osiris when he spoke to his ghost. Her name, Sagira, means little light in Egyptian. The rest as they say is history. Questions that remain 1. The Stranger does not have a ghost and was not forged in light. Theory: the Stranger is a human transferred to an exo frame in the Labs of Clovis Bray who fought on Earth during the collapse but did not not die in the collapse. She has lived to the present day. 2. Why didn’t Osiris kill the black heart. Theory: too busy on Mercury in the Infinite Vex Simulator 3. When did Osiris meet the Stranger Theory : Could have been anywhere at anytime, but given he has been busy since expulsion from the Vanguard it’s likely they met on Earth between the time of the collapse and Orisis’s expulsion from the Vanguard. 4. The Stranger gave my Guardian a weird gun which showed signs of modification. Theory : Osiris modified a standard Earth made pulse rifle he took with him from Earth to Mercury when he was expelled from the Vanguard. The gun was modified using appropriated Vex tech and given to the Stranger for her use. The Stranger gave the gun to your Guardian as thanks from Osiris for killing the heart of the Black Garden. All corrections and refinements most welcome.

2 RepliesHalf life 3 confirmed

Sagira is #notmyghost

2 RepliesI for one would welcome the stranger back. She represented a lot of what was wrong with D1 (no story and unanswered questions), yet she is a lot of what D2 is missing (mysterious, suspense, and a dang NPC who is actually serious). Plus I just want those unanswered questions from D1 answered!

It will get nerfed probably

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 12/10/2017 2:35:57 AMThe ghosts have been referred to as little light a few times since the stranger, I remember. The joke isn’t exclusive to the stranger. Remember that she isn’t a guardian and doesn’t have light, so her connections to osiris are probably acquaintances at best

2 RepliesOMG Sagira IS the Stranger! That changes everything! DLC is awesome now. 🙄
-
In the original story for Destiny 1 the Stranger was Osiris' assistant. It's possible they're going down that route now that they've finally brought Osiris into the game.
-
My guess is that the Stanger will never return. However she might be mentiones once and awhile. Since we prevented her future she faded from existence.

3 RepliesHe also says "We have all the time in the world" drawing a parallel to "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain."
-
7 RepliesNope, "wrapped up nicely" were roughly the words used to describe the strangers storyline
-
she works for osiris, just like everyone else that matters in the lore
-
I heard this, and wondered if anyone thought this too! Extra little detail, Sagira is an Egyptian name that translates to Little One, which is as close and Bungie could get to Little Light as a name
-
Stop talking about destiny 1 lore guys! Bungie doesn’t want that!
-
Reach for the stars big guy.
-
They put that Audio Easter Egg in the hopes that someone would pick up on it, and start posting ideas on how to tie the Stranger into the story. Bungie is in need of a new thought process. I would love it to pick 20 random people off the forums put them in a room and come until with new content

They are little and they are made of light.... that's the connection?
-
Oh.. I am to reply and invest time?
-
I was to busy trying to interpret the Miming my Guardian was doing while interacting with Ikora and Saguira.
-
Reaching and grasping at nothing but air I'm afraid. During the reveals and interviews Bungie said that there will be nods to veteran players. I think even Deej's exact words where "you had to be there". Little light is something like that, back when our guardians had a voice.

Noticed this too

10 RepliesEdited by nightwarrior8768: 12/7/2017 3:02:22 PMI think the stranger and Osiris are connected because of the common enemy with the two. Because in D1 the black garden mission involved destroying the heart of garden that was protected by the vex, so the heart was vex one of idk how many important pieces of vex tech and the stranger was clearly from the future (because of her weapon, and her knowledge of both the vex and the future) were the black garden was never destroyed and the vex destroyed everything. I also think at one point in the future the Stranger and Osiris crossed paths and Osiris decided to send her back to the past. Remember when she talking to someone on her comm link i think she was talking to Osiris. And the reason she call the ghost in D1 Little light is probably because of when she meets Osiris he probably calls Sagira little light and so after that she started doing it.

1 ReplyThat 'little light' line was the only thing to divert my attention from all the silent charades my character was playing. Seriously over-animated silence. But that line was great.

3 RepliesEdited by Salty Bulldog: 12/8/2017 7:27:27 AMIn the original pre-launch Destiny story, the Exo Stranger was Osiris's assistant. So there was a big connection originally. Whether or not Bungie would actually bother bringing it back I don't know. EDIT: Anyone else think the Forge made Pulse rifle (Mahchina Dei 4) you can get looks like the No Time to Explain that the Exo gives you at end of Vanilla D1? And the exotic for that matter. The description on those old ones indicates they were from the future/past. If they managed to link the Osiris story to us in Vanilla it could be cool.

26 RepliesIn the end of Destiny 3 it's going to be revealed that everything we've done has been a massive Vex simulation and the Exo Stranger was someone who was working with Osiris to find the prophesied Savior of the Guardians. Our adventures are really just them observing our potential future and deciding if they want to send Ghost to find us specifically in the first place or if he should look for someone else.
