I told myself I wasn't going to buy the xpac (which it hardly is as it's basically just a paywall for extra guns, armor and the saddest amount of content a company like bungie and activision could afford) until you fixed the current issues with the game, but the way you have set your game up you can't really afford to miss game time if you're a completionist. In the beginning the game ran wonderfully at a clean 100+ fps on high. Somewhere along the lines since then you have released an update that has completely -blam!-ed the optimization on the PC port. I've tried everything on my end from deleting the CVARs file, uninstalling and reinstalling, scanning the game, changing video card settings, reverting to older drivers, and even a clean install of windows to my rig. YOU have -blam!-ed up at this point, not us. It is extremely frustrating when searching for a solution to this problem that you copy and paste an explanation of how to delete the CVARs file. I'm completely regretting buying the xpac and I wish there was a way I could refund all the money I've spent on this game. You have completely -blam!-ed up the optimization on the PC port.
Please fix this, it's ridiculous.

I also been trying to get help. I been getting this annoying stutter from the patch 1.1.0, simmilar to the one I encountered in the patch 1.0.6.1, it will stutter every few minutes, it becomes annoying in combat, specially when I am jumping and trying not to fall down into the abyss, or even on PvP, which makes me miss the chance of killing my opponent and dying instead. This is really annoying, and rather game breaking.
-
UPDATE: now regardless of what resolution or graphics settings the game runs at a consistent 20-30fps what the actual -blam!- is going on with this game???????????

1 ReplyAny chance a member of troubleshooting team, R&D team, or any Bungie team member could dignify this? Am I crazy here? Is there any sort of plans to address this in near or distant future?
-
I am having the same exact issue, it was a problem before too but was fixed when they did that hotfix and now its back after the release of the expansion, REALLY ANNOYING..
-
The exact same thing here. For me, it only happens in PVP make it unplayable. This is ridiculous .
-
Ok it looks like they finally fixed the problem reading game content with the osiris patch but yeah this stuttering has got to go... I just don't understand how a AAA game company can be so slow at fixing major game breaking bugs on a GM, released game......
-
Yeah I'm having noticeable FPS issues since the new patch, I went from 100+ at 1440p to lower 60's and 50s on EDZ spawn area by the church, And I notice some choppy movement when moving my mouse as if im getting less than 60fps in a area that im getting 200fps, Also the Anti-aliasing in this game is vary bad after about 10 meters from the screen, noticeable on fences, or wires. Specs: OS: Windows 10 x64 Creators update CPU: i7 5820k 4.6ghz RAM: 32GB DDR3 2666mhz VIDEO: 2x GTX 1070's Game is installed onto a my 480GB SSD that is only for games, OS is on a 240GB SSD. Other games such at Battlefield 1 or Pubg or anything else plays vary smoothly compared to this game.

This just started for me with the expansion and I wish they would offer a refund of at least the expansion if they are not going to make it playable or even acknowledge it. My post has the same copy/paste. What is even worse is they ask what you've done to troubleshoot and then don't acknowledge it. Makes me wonder if they even bother to go back and read the replies.
-
I agree. Having the exact same problems as you, I was really hoping to find a to find a solution here on this site, but after seing how the Bungie staff just copy/paste some generic troubleshooting guides I don't got my hopes up for playing this game anytime soon. Waste of money so far.

Edited by Silent: 12/7/2017 1:29:58 PMI am here boys, i got the fps drops from this last update, i was having 140-120 fps(gtx1080,i76700k) all the time, on my gf pc she has gtx970(i7 3770k) minimum 75fps, we got in that pc, 100fps maximum, now you can't have 60, amazing update! :( STOP changing things in your pc, i am -blam!-ing playing on low details with a gtx1080 and i still can't have my fps back, this is how bad this game works, trash!!!

I bought this game on Thanksgiving day while Green Man was having a sale, and played it for a week at a perfect 60fps, no issues. I remember thinking to myself, "wow, this seems like a pretty decent port!" A week later the game goes down for maintenance and when it came back up I was infected with the stuttering issue. I've tried everything except for a clean install of Windows, which obviously still wouldn't help. The only way I've been able to get rid of the stuttering is to play the game in a window and set the vsync to 30fps. It sucks, but my frames are at least consistent this way and I find it far less irritating than dealing with the stutter.

Exact same issue, but I've been reading into this for hours and haven't seen anyone running an AMD card reporting the issue. I have an intel/nvidia based laptop that cant hit 30 fps post update whilst getting a locked 75 on a gsync monitor before. intel/AMD system runs like butter. Not that this is really any help, but interesting to note.

5 RepliesThis has been a problem since launch and it still hasn't been fixed. A month and still no answer if this is even being worked on.

Edited by Friendlystu: 12/6/2017 10:11:01 PMSame issue myself and friend have had this happen making it literally unplayable. we've both got High end PC's as well

Guys, they will never fix it. Do not buy anything more bungie / activision and do it:
The best way to combat the lack of response is to take to social media and writing into online publications, like PC Gamer and Kotaku. Let them know Bungie is doing nothing to resolve an issue a chunk of their players are experiencing or at the very least acknowledging the problem exists
YES.... and the cabbage error!!!!!.. cant even play the game because of that error
-
1 ReplyTry changing your resolution then change it back. Dumb, but it worked for me.

Same issues. Thinking about buying a new hard drive even on a 3 thousand dollar system I bought a month and a half ago just for Destiny. I don’t know enough about pc to do my own troubleshooting. I even get different types of issues on different characters. So it’s definitely on the Bungie side.

1 ReplyThis is the 3rd time I've posted about this issue, I've lost track of how many similar threads there are.
