You know what’s worse? They nerfed scout rifles (a long range weapon) to be less effective at long range. That shit makes no -blam!-ing sense.
English
-
It's because of mida
-
The main problem with mida was high caliber rounds. They nerfed that and decided to nerf scouts in general too. I just don’t get it.
-
None. -blam!- Bungie.
-
And the precision auto rifle now has reduced precision. Lol.
-
Edited by marta2507: 12/6/2017 12:57:37 PMWhen i read it ... nerf precision on precision autos Ahahah it’s like nerf scout from long rang... oh
-
Yeah. That is yhe purpose of both guns.
-
Prob to try and force the mida meta to change a little bit but thats my guess
-
So they need an ENTIRE weapon class for 1 gun? Lmao
-
Not the first time they've done this... [looking at you Hand Canons, shot guns, fusion rifles... and pretty much everything else in d1]
-
Lol that's why they said we need static rolls on weps. So they could go in and change specific weps.
-
Nerfing just mida would've resulted in pladious taking its place. And so on.
-
Edited by FrenetiCreature: 12/6/2017 2:07:47 AM"We're making static rolls so we only have to nerf single weapons, and not the whole archetype." Hahaha! Yeah, ok. Tell me another one, Bungie.
-
Um.... There 's like 3 legendary scouts that are almost identical to mida.
-
Just remove HCR from the game
-
basically bingo can't chew gum and walk at the same time
-
I'm convinced they can't walk & breathe at the same time... throw some blinking eyes in there & their entire world collapses.
-
Bump. -blam!- Bungie.
-
Same thing they did in D1

I remember someone said this, "There aren't random rolls on weapons anymore. Better Devils is a Crucible hand cannon [in Destiny 2], and what it has on it is what it has on it. Period," Luke Smith, the sequel's director, said. The lineup of stats and perks for every weapon and every piece of armor in Destiny 2 is now hand-crafted. That also means Bungie's sandbox team — which generally takes the lead on weapon balance changes — has a lot more flexibility when it's time to change things around. "You can look at all the hand cannons now [for example] and track the data for everything," Smith said. The hand-crafted nature of Destiny 2's arsenal means every piece of gear is its own category, in a sense. A Bungie designer can call up a singular legendary and tweak its stats; a seemingly small thing, but one that promises to change up the notion of how gear is balanced in the coming sequel. "It's gonna give us more flexibility to do per-item tuning," Smith said. "[That's] something we haven't had before because of the way we were building the [first] game."

I knew this quote would come back to haunt them. Looks like the nerf bat still swings wide and hard.

That's what the idiots managing the game have always done. The Last Word hipfire too accurate and range too far?let's nerf handcannons across the board!!! woooo!!!
Which had the unintended effect of making TLW the best HC period because it had 2 accuracy and range perks on it, they made it so it was literally one of the only hand cannons that were still viable
Felwinters Lie has too much range because it's of the highest damage archetype and can roll with 3!! Range perks? let's destroy shotgun damage across pve and PvP, reduce the range of all archetypes, remove the offending perks from ALL shotguns, lower ready speed, lower move speed when carried and increase shot spread for all shotguns. What fcuking geniuses! Bungie is the absolute worst developer in the business imo and it's largely because of their awful management
-
You don't really understand why they nerfed all hand canons do you?
-
Man i never got good with tlw :( i kept trying xD
-
Same I was awful but was ok with players who were good with it. Good counter to my shotgun. I didn’t always lose he battle but didn’t always when either. I did manage to complete the step involving it for the Tex exotic shotgun like a few weeks before I stopped playing. Still just need to kill the bash bros.

Wasn't one of their selling points of D2 that the new engine allowed them to target specific weapons instead of entire weapon classes or archetypes? And that they could respond to issues faster?
