2 RepliesA little extortion goes a long way here at Bungie.

2 RepliesPower level Raids in D1 were criticised due to the fact that as each expansion came out older Raids were left behind and became irrelevant. With this system the Raids will always stay relevant with power level and challenge...but at the same time you need the expansions to get that current power level. It's a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. Bungie gets flak either way. In the case of prestige nightfalls, again power level cap as well as the fact that CoO strikes are in the rotation.

So, if you don't get the dlc, you basically rented a game from bungie for 4 months for $60? Genius!

It's such a scam lol Feel bad for the pc players.

5 RepliesWouldn't surprise me at all if trials was locked out as well come Friday. They locked it out after DLC releases in D1.

Because -blam!- you, spend money

You will be unable to progress in the Destiny universe unless you buy all the expansions. It was speculated about but this DLC proves they are doing the same thing as Destiny 1.
-
Why would you even play it more than once or twice anyway.
-
No trials either
-
I guess thats why the game should have a brand new themed raid every expansion!

3 RepliesEdited by Kommissar K: 12/5/2017 10:24:03 PMIt looks like their intent to always keep all endgame content relevant. They don't want a situation where people aren't running VoG because KF is the current "do this one" raid. In order to do this, all raids will have the same base power requirement, and all prestige modes will have the same base requirement. Since prestige mode is the "hardest," this obviously means it will always be the max light level. Because they keep increasing power with each DLC, this invariably means you need to keep buying DLC. Its insidious, because the base proposition isn't all that bad, its almost a good thing (why wouldn't we want the base content to remain relevant?), but the implication is just unfriendly. Frankly I'm not sure how I feel about it; I do want old content to remain relevant (it sucks coming into a game late and not being able to run older raids because nobody cares to), at the same time I would prefer to minimize consumer-unfriendly practices. The solution (if you wanted to keep it fair to older users) would be to stop increasing power/level with each DLC. The problem then is in realizing how horribly unpopular that would be as well.

4 RepliesEndgame always stays with the latest iteration of the game has been that way since the franchise started. Same as for live events such as iron banner, trials, nightfalls now likely faction rallies and seaonal events.
-
They bumped the light level up to 330 for the prestige raid.

Cause bungie is a shit company. Always has been, will always continue to be as long as it has morons supporting their crap. Happy I bounced.. Just here to watch it burn.
