I have a PS4 Pro, LG C7 OLED TV, and Denon AVR-X6400H. I know 4K+HDR works in this setup because the Wipeout Omega Collection supports it and it works. It's not working at all on D2.

Still no HDR?
-
Just for anyone who is coming back here to check for updates on this. Bungie commented on it in their weekly blog post... "HDR Shortly after launch, an issue was discovered that impacts the functionality of HDR settings for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. When enabling HDR settings through platform or in-game settings, changes are not properly applied by the Destiny 2 application. We are seeking to address this issue with Destiny Update 1.1.1, which we have targeted to become available next week."

This is annoying that there has been no work on a fix. I like Destiny, I am not complaining about content since I get more hours out of this game than most, but when an update shows up promising HDR (4K going in and out may be a thing too) and then it doesn't work I'll make my first forum complaint. I'm not sure how this was missed in the update testing.

Hello, Thank you for your report. We are currently investigating this issue.

I don't see it game looks the same, I believe the ps4 pro tells you when a game support HDR did not get that when start the game after the update.
-
This is stupid biggest reason why i whas exited still not work! Bwah!
-
Same. But I also see the 4K going in and out. Some areas look much better than before update while others are obviously the same as before. Example in orbit - Sometimes ship and planet background look exactly the same as before and sometimes it is 4k with much better gradients, anti-aliasing, color pallet. Sony XBR-940D
-
I bought a pspro after using Xbox for D1 because I thought that their exclusive deal with Sony meant that the Bungie would offer a better version of D2 on the PlayStation. Bungie you have proven me spectacularly wrong here. Way to go.
-
Same. Vizio m50 2017.hdr is beautiful on other game. And it tells u when it switches. Not with destiny..
-
Same here no HDR on Ps4 Pro and Samsung KS8000! Really how can u miss something this obvious it's redicuolous waited forever for this and bam nothing! Way to deliver Bungie!
-
I'm not touching D2 until they fix this - I was so disappointed that such a beautiful game didn't have HDR 4K on release which was the reason I upgraded to a Pro from my normal PS4 and they 'miss' it out?!? WTF is going on over there with QAing the patch and DLC update?!?! Can we have an ETA for the fix please Bungie!
-
Same not gonna play till it’s fixed Guess bungie had to much damage control with the exp they couldn’t test that overpowered gun either
-
Same issue here. No HDR for PS4 Pro version. Xbox One X version does have it though.
-
Still not working here. Sony 65" XD93 witrh Denon -X3200W receiver. As others have stated, works for every other HDR enabled game.

Edited by PJ__Bottoms: 12/6/2017 11:05:36 AMSame, no HDR is being detected nor is there any setting in the actual game for it. Sony XBR-55900E EDIT: https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/938118169146695680 and https://twitter.com/DeeJ_BNG/status/938223790005280768
-
Same no hdr support, still having laggy aim when im on hdr :/
-
Bungie is getting lazy.
-
Yay it's not just me
-
Have Sony XBR-65Z9D and NO HDR!!! Many other games look so good in HDR, but unfortunately Bungle obviously more concerned about screwing customers on bright engrams rather than getting a major update right! So Sad.😌

Edited by ASGiov: 12/6/2017 5:39:30 AMI'm having the same issue. Playing on PS4 Pro on LG B7 OLED, no HDR support on PS4 Pro version of Destiny 2. Patch notes state: "Upgraded resolution to adaptive 4K with high dynamic range lighting on the PlayStation 4 Pro" Seems like someone at Bungie forgot to trigger the flag to enable HDR on the console.
-
Glad this huge issue is not just me. HDR is on on my ps4 pro but where is the HDR option in D2?
-
Edited by jwsplayer: 12/7/2017 4:34:08 AMBungie you screwed it up again no HDR on PS4.......The following game's have HDR support and are working: Assassin Creed Origins, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, Uncharted Lost Legacy, GT Sport
