4K and HDR Support
Upgraded resolution to adaptive 4K with high dynamic range lighting on the PlayStation 4 Pro
We should have 4k (adaptive) and HDR support now with PS4 Pro, which at least I'm not seeing, I have a Samsung UHD TV with HDR premium, and I can see the 4k-hdr with many other games, like Uncharted, Assassins Creed Origins, Horizon, etc.
Destiny still looks the same and I don't see the console actually doing the display switch to HDR, is this not active yet?
Does anyone else has this issue?
Can anyone see HDR actually active now?

1 ReplyI bought my PS4 Pro when they came out. I just bought my 1st 4K TV in March 2018. It's an 82" Samsung. Anyway, it took some time to get the HDR straightened out: 1) Had to enable HDR for the PS4 Game Input on my TV. 2) Had to enable HDR on the PS4. 3) Had to enable HDR on Destiny 2. So it looks GREAT but there is noticable lag when turning on HDR vs turning it back off. I'm quite certain it's not the TV because CoD WWII runs smooth and lag free with HDR. It feels as if running Destiny 2 w/HDR in 4K (or whatever the resolution the game sets to) is just too much for the PS4 Pro. Anyone else experiencing this?

4 RepliesIs it me or still no HDR?

3 RepliesAfter the latest patch, the video quality is simply amazing.!! It was so dramatic that it actually took a while to adjust. I'm seeing such beautiful color saturation (HDR) and detail. I am using a PS4 Pro + Samsung 4K UHD display. Mine is coupled with a Yamaha Ultra 4K AV receiver, and 4K certified HDMI cables. Anyway, long story short..I see an amazing difference.

Ah, I knew it didn't look any better! God dam.
-
Nope, no hdr or adaptive 4k yet, im pissed
-
I’m not seeing it on my XB1X either. The game looks darker and everything is brown looking. Assassins Creed Origins looks amazing. Destiny 2 looks burnt.

another way bungie got lazy. they didnt put it in the game

1 ReplyIt's locked behind the DLC...

3 RepliesNo HDR! Been waiting since launch for this. What a joke!

1 ReplyEdited by fraggin1out: 12/8/2017 9:33:05 AMThe issue has been addressed in the Weekly update and it will be fixed in the next patch that goes live on Tuesday. Well fingers crossed it gets fixed ;)

6 RepliesProbably not possible. If you enable hdr on the PC you get a drop in frame rates. The x1x is a more powerful machine which is probably why they were able to get it to work there. If you guys ever play this game on the PC you will never go back to console it plays so much better

2 Repliesit seems HDR works on Xbox One X but not in PS4 Pro.

2 Replies"Shortly after launch, an issue was discovered that impacts the functionality of HDR settings for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. When enabling HDR settings through platform or in-game settings, changes are not properly applied by the Destiny 2 application. We are seeking to address this issue with Destiny Update 1.1.1, which we have targeted to become available next week."

1 ReplyBungie is aware of the PS4 HDR issue “We are actively investigating reports of issues impacting HDR availability on PlayStation 4. Stay tuned for more info.”
-
1 Replyso yes, no HDR yet, and no official word from Bungie yet right?
-
Ok, I have both an Xbox One X and a PS4 Pro running Destiny 2 and downloaded CoO last night. The new 4K and HDR settings on XB1X look AMAZING. Huge jump in quality. PS4 Pro looks exactly the same as it did before the alleged update. As far as I can see they messed up something - it's not 4K or HDR. There is a shocking difference in quality. ???????

1 ReplyI am fairly angered by this as I was eagerly anticipating the HDR on The PS4 Pro. Alas another failure by Bungie, not a good start to Osiris.

2 RepliesEdited by zephyrzone: 12/5/2017 9:35:31 PMNo HDR on my PS4 Pro. I bought the expansion primarily for HDR. I hope it’s a bug because if there really was no intent to bring HDR to the console and instead just promote the expansion with misleading marketing language like “HDR dynamic lighting”, I’ll be unbelievably raged. Going to give Bungie and Activision the benefit of the doubt for now. It’s gotta be a bug. I’ve been waiting for HDR support since launch. EDIT: Playing on a LG B7. I get a toast whenever HDR is activates by a game, and of course it looks SIGNIFICANTLY different. My TV is not flipping into HDR and I see no in-game settings selection to turn it on. @Bungie, what’s up with HDR on PS4 Pro?

3 RepliesEdited by House--Shoes: 12/6/2017 7:58:09 PMHDR was pretty much the only reason I bought the damn DLC to begin with. I waited until it went live on the store so I could just buy this DLC only and not the next; that has to be earned. So of course when I first spawned into Mercury I look over the portal at the sun was wondering what was up. Really disappointed!!

2 RepliesAccording to the post it is "adaptive 4K with hdr lighting" I don't know what "adaptive" means
