Game settings won’t save

Latest drivers from 11/30 installed. Did not update windows 10 yet dec 1 release.
I edited the var file for fps because I wanted it locked higher then 144. That’s the only value I changed. Keeps reverting me back to max settings and I need to change them every time I log in. For clarification I’m able to play with the settings I want in game. I just have to change them all after every shutdown of the game. It’s getting pretty annoying. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The game was generating an old setting var file and was reading from that apparently instead of the edited one. Opened both marched them and put at read only. Settings now load upon game start up

uninstalled / reinstalled destiny 2 same problem persists. steps taken so far: running as adminstrator deleted var file - made problem worse uninstalled / reinstalled destiny 2

Deleted var file and relaunched same issue as per support page. Actually, it’s Even worse now none of my settings save and I need to input everything all over again vs only a few settings. Yay
