19 RepliesSo you want the ability for the tower...26 people to all be talking at once, kids screaming, dogs in background, teens trolling every single time you go in the tower and have to everytime mute 15+ of them rather than just invite people to your private chat?
-
2 RepliesWho should we get to design the social aspect of our game? How about the person who is scared of online interactions?

2 RepliesEdited by bnlfan78: 12/3/2017 4:04:19 AMDoesn't matter to me I'm always in party chat anyway even by myself. Sounds better than game chat
-
3 RepliesWould you really want to hear how some squeaker banged your mother in Dolby surround? Yeah. Me neither
-
I just want text chat. Local, zone, world chats. Would say trade too, but there’s no trade. Oh, spose clan too, but that would be pointless for me personally.
-
3 RepliesBecause there is nothing social and enjoyable about people blasting music or streaming through mics.

10 RepliesEdited by TitanGear: 12/5/2017 11:48:34 AMToxic people plain and simple. Even if people CAN mute others, people will record Conversations, rasict remarks, hate speech and try to get Players banned, sued, arrested. It is a PR Nightmare waiting to happen. Humans are quite Evil when behind a controller. That and they would blow thousands of dollars on Voice over IP servers. Which would give them incentive to promote Eververse even more than necessary to offset the costs. They are here to make money, we are the ones here to "make friends".

Edited by SpakulatorX: 12/3/2017 12:57:44 PMYou need another option for 'Voice actors are expensive'

Because some of us don't want twelve year olds nattering in our ears every time we go to turn in our two tokens and a blue.
-
Well, younglings would learn many a new word for their expanding vocabularies.

If dont want hear people we can just mute them
Then un-mute them by using the party chat feature that's built in to every single console. If I had to mute 20 some people every time I went to the tower, I would be pissed.
-
1 ReplySorry I don’t want to hear a bunch of 12 year olds singing
-
Well in Bungo's defense, you *can* talk if you want to..
-
1 ReplyIf you believe anything that comes out of the mouth of hawthorne then your a fn idiot for trusting that backstabbing bitch like her just like some of the people at bungie👀
-
No. There's enough nonsense with people coming up and spamming emotes or sending a barrage of game invite/party chat/friend requests in rapid succession.
-
We don’t talk for the whole campaign.... (the biggest threat to the city we’ve faced) Why would we be so down for idle chit chat

Since the Beta in D1, there was a huge amount of feedback on the Forums that the Social Aspect of the game was completely messed up. And we are not better off in D2 than during the Beta as BungleVision can't wrap their head around the idea of Guardians talking (guess that's why we are still mute). What is needed is a "room" like a Bar / Tavern etc in the Tower. If you are in side it and not in a party, your mic and earphones goes live. You can then talk to other Guardians. The idea behind it is to easily recruit people for activities you want to do (i.e. NightFall, Raids, Quest Strikes etc.) or need help with (Story missions etc.). Rather than sending people empty requests to "Play Destiny" or sending them a text message like "Raid? NightFall? etc." you would simply speak into your Mic "Doing the Raid and need 2 people - if your interested say your Gamer tag and we'll invite you". And in 5 seconds, you have your 2 people and off doing an activity. Oterhwise you get ignored or you spend 5 minutes back and forth via text messages blindly to people and hope you get something. And the reason for this being a specific room / area is that people that don't need or want this don't have to go in there.

Weren’t you taught in school never to talk to strangers???
-
I think we should have chat boxes like in wow. Any form of abuse gets banned or we simply mute them.
-
Voice chat would be horrid but I don't see a reason why PC can't have a simple chat channel. Sure Tower Chat would be Barrens chat but I actually miss Barrens chat in the frozen silence
-
1 ReplyEdited by Abrrinacave: 12/3/2017 5:48:25 PMI remember when people complained to get team chat in PvP in D1. Then we got it. And no one used it
-
1 ReplyThe only person worth talking to is Tess. She has some damn cool loot!
-
Because the tower is like a box of chocolates....you never know what your gonna get
-
6 RepliesBecause you don't want people to constantly harass you every time you load into the tower, especially if you're a high-profile player like a streamer or such. Having to re-mute players over and over will get very annoying very fast.
-
I would greatly appreciate a (censored) text chat for instances like the tower or even for your local area.
-
Because that would be very annoying.
