I’d like to point out the current position small clans are in at the current state of the game.
Right now, smaller clans have no chance at reaching max level, in fact my clan of four members have yet to reach level 2, even while playing consistently each week since release on PC. I don’t know if Bungie intends for us to just make clans as big as possible and wants us to always strive to be in bigger clans but some players, like myself, just want to have a small clan with their friends without worrying about tyrannical clan leaders or hopelessly lost new players. It’s a bit selfish admittedly but me and my clan members want to stay small to escape clan drama but still be able to achieve maximum level as a clan, but the ‘5000 xp’ limit for each week completely stops us from doing so.
I was just wondering if it’s possible to set xp requirements to smaller sizes to level up for smaller clans, like setting brackets for clans in the form of small, medium, and large clans while having different xp requirements for each bracket. If Bungie isn’t interested in something like this it’d be nice to know but for now I hope small clans can get a hook up.

The clan bonuses are not amazing so I wouldn’t worry to much, we had a small clan but joined some friends who also had small clan to make a large clan, still play pretty much exclusively with my old clan mates, don’t have much to do with the main clan, but we all contribute at the end of the day.

5000 PER CHARACTER, depending on how big your clan is, mine has 4 or so semi active members, and yours truly, the hardcore member. Just above level 4 after playing since launch. Doesn't matter the size, just matters you play every week. I basically soloed my clan to level 4, with the majority of XP coming from me. Good luck with your clan, just make sure you're getting that 15k total XP every week

7 member clan.. with 3 regular players.. We hit level 7 .. 3 weeks ago and we don't do Trials. Just have to play the game.

The clan bonuses are worthless anyways.

Edited by ShiroTheWolf03: 12/2/2017 4:48:28 AMTotally agree with this. Small groups of people that have been playing together and mesh correctly should not be punished for sticking together. I'm part of a small clan of people that have played together since year 1 of D1. The lack of incentive to actually grind out clan xp just isn't there for a raid team sized clan with no hope of ranking up enough for it to matter. We shouldn't be punished for not having the max amount of clanmates suddenly after 3 years of it being just us. Bungie should at least make it so small clans can form alliances that count the xp gains as if it's just one clan or something. And limit those alliances to single digit clans.

Not everyone is a game bashing shithead and you might meet some fun new people to play with. If you have clan control you can easily avoid/get rid of the drama queens and troublemakers. You can't have it both ways. The system is not designed for small personal "clique" clans nor should you expect to be catered to just because that's how you want it. Life in general doesn't work that way, not just in video games. I started a small 4-5 person clan when the D2 first started of just personal friends, and months later have recently joined a larger mature group and have since invited the other friends I had and we've been having nothing but more fun now. It took me hopping into 3 or 4 before I found a good one but they are out there. Maybe it's time one of you or one of your group goes scouting. If you or they can't seem to find one, you or they can always join back and noone will really have lost anything except maybe 1 weeks worth of clan engrams.

A clan of 7 can keep up with a clan of a 100, even a clan of 4 can reach lvl 6 if you're willing to do 3 characters. It's already incredibly easy (& meaningless), if you can't make it you can't make it. Not everyone has to be able to get & reach everything. Last thing the game needs is making things even easier, Curse of Deej is already going to be like Christmas.

I have a small clan with barely 20, (and 5 of us are actually active) and we reached max clan level 6 fairly quickly. Had to get 15,000 clan XP per week (3 toon's each) but it isn't impossible and to be fair, the rewards for hitting rank 6 are pretty useless anyway.

For $29.99 bungie might just hear you. For $49.99 they can pretend they will eventually change it. Until then they don’t care. Bungie hates you, shut up buy silver. Hail bungievision.

5 RepliesYou can hit max level at the quickest possible rate with a clan as small as 7 people lol.

Best bet would be to recruit more players that are dedicated to not only stay but work together to get you maxed out
