I have yet to use, and probably wont ever use, shaders because either B) I don't want to use it because I'm going to replace that peice of armor or B) I don't even have enough for a full set for a lot of shaders.
I get unlocking shaders, but make it transferable between gear not consumable. Thanks.

16 RepliesHow long have you been playing? Eventually you will be deleting stacks of shaders wondering why you can only delete one at a time.

1 ReplyI'm against this idea and enjoy the current system. As of now, if I want one or two pieces of gear different the current system allows it. If I find a new piece but don't have a shader for it, that sucks but that is the nature of the game. The current system is also great for the microtransation system. I like the idea of eververse only supplying cosmetic items and the system keeps Activision happy with income, preventing them from locking things I really care about behind a paywall. Sometimes it sucks, when you don't have the shader you want but I much rather not have the shader I want than the piece of gear I want. Plus when the shader I do like goes on sale at eververse I buy enough for a full set. Game On -

1 ReplyThis shader system is bullshit I got hundreds of shaders i dont want and never get the shaders i actualy like

I agree. Make them unlock for the account, like the weapon ornaments, & remove the consumable part. That way they can get applied to anything & everything that you would like. I like the Dead Orbit colors for a lot of things, but I don't always want to pledge to them to grind for the drops.

2 RepliesEdited by gallp13: 12/2/2017 1:00:55 AMMore important issues for Devs to work on than this at the moment. I’ve gotten used to the current system, however if folks are hot to trot suggest late next year for a change.

1 ReplyI much prefer the new system. I can use it to have consistency, so mismatched armor looks like a matched set.

1 ReplyOr let us strip them from armor and guns once applied.

23 RepliesJust another failed decision. Confronted with being told that players were against the system and wanted it reverted, Smith told people his dream was that people would have so many they'd not know what to do with them... The fact is as long as they are a single use item, nobody is going to use them. They turned them into an economy which is the death of the concept. It would be like having weapons "dissolve" if you changed weapons. Nobody would ever change weapons and the game would die. It's just another case of Bungie choosing to loose millions of players rather than change their direction on a failed idea. They've destroyed their game. It's almost as if they know they're dead in the water and have just given the -blam!- up.

1 ReplyAre you just starting out? Once you get to max power and get the gear you want you will have an abundance of all shaders guaranteed.

1 ReplyNo thanks.

No I like them now.

Couldn't agree more. As someone who loves customization in games, D2's consumable shaders really killed any love I had for the game since day one. Progressing further into D2, and encountering it's terrible vault, token system, and more, makes customization practically nonexistent. Really hope shaders become unlimited use and free to apply.

I think it's alright (seeing as how I get shaders quite often to make up for deleting the equipment). I do wish there was something similar to Eva Levante's Emblem and Shader shop.

You're not sure if you're going to replace Raid Armor or Iron Banner Armor? That doesn't seem right I thought the big deal was everyone wanted their own armor sets from the raids and stuff It's why our vault space got increased
