they nerfed boost glide :'(

One change to Blink. In the beta for D2 we were able to Glide after we used Blink. Meaning Blink was viable for PvE not just PvP. You could make big drops without worrying about an impact death because you could still glide to safety. But for some reason this was removed in the release. #makeblinkglideagain

Warlock glide over a door archway - with an SMG in your hand, baiting out players. Death from above.

1 ReplyEdited by Anhedonut: 12/2/2017 4:24:26 AMI’ve come to like the glide. Even though it doesnt feel as exciting as the Titan jump, it’s got its own merits. Neither of the other class can cancel their jump prematurely, for one.

God yes, I main warlock but in D2 it is just sooooooo sloooooooooow. I just ponderously and majestically float across a gap while I'm giving every enemy in the game a chance to find me, take aim, put down their gun, play some cards, destroy all of humanity, take a nap, and then finally get back to shooting me before I've even completed the arc of my jump.

What was the original post?
-
I've been using it for years with no problems. I find it the most controllable of the jumps. Not as fast, jerky, or high as a Titan, but lasts longer and can float farther. I've never liked the Hunter jump. Not a fan of BLINK.
-
I have no problems making it work.
-
The jump in Destiny 2 is very lackluster compared to Destiny 1. I main a warlock and I find transversive steps help but the speed with the boots should be the base jump to line up with hunter and titan jump.
-
I’ve adapted to it. It has pros and cons. More cons though so yeah it sucks overall
-
I never got why people don't like the Warlock jump. It's slow and easy to react to, you just have to be ready to jump ahead of time since it's not very quick. It's the best for breaking falls and you can stall yourself out in the air for pretty long too.
-
No complaints here. It's just different. Use it in bursts or for aerial cover.
-
Warlock jump doesn't suck. People suck at warlock jumps. Playing hunter or titan will make you worse at warlock jumping, because they jump while warlocks floof. Different practices. Like the difference between jogging/power walking.
-
Don't know how many times it killed me, FK!!!!!
-
It has been made very clear on multiple occasions that warlocks do not jump. They floof about.
-
2 Repliesif you train it's decent. compared to the other classes it's not that great. Blink is great to scare people with a shotgun blast to the face!
-
Up your mobility (very underrated stat.) Use transversive steps. Otherwise yes, it is underwhelming compared to the hunter.
-
*Floof
-
I wouldn't say it's overwhelmingly terrible, but it's definitely worse than Lift + Double Jump.
-
2 RepliesI swear the people answering yes must not main warlocks or use everything but Burst Glide
-
I'm constantly using Transversive Steps to make my Warlock faster.
-
2 RepliesWhat jump? you mean that slow glide downward to your own death? lol
-
1 Replywarlocks are the least mobile, their jumps reflect that...
-
5 RepliesIt’s not even a jump
-
Warlock jump is the worst in D2.
-
Worst in d2 and surprise d1 as well it’s part of the class
