Can't play with friend, can't invite
Hi, I'm introducing my friend to Destiny 2 but we are having some troubles playing with each other. I don't get the option to invite him when I'm in the roster. It only shows remove friend and whisper. It shows him as being "In-App" rather than in Destiny 2. In his roster everyone is shown as offline even though it shouldn't.
It also doesn't show him as playing Destiny 2 in the Blizzard App.
After some googling I found that this was also an issue in Overwatch.
We tried everything from restarting the pc, restarting the game, re-installing Battle.net, changing regios but with no luck.
Any ideas?

EDIT: It appears this is only happening with people using the trial version by the looks of it. I don't know if this was intended or not but a reply from support would be great :)
EDIT2: It appears this issue has been fixed as of the latest update.

2 RepliesSame Here, I’m unable to add my friend that is playing free trial. We are both in the same region in app and game, We tried to delete cash files and changed status few times. I’ve tried add Him to fire team on earth farm. We both have finished starting missions. I’m able to add other players to fireteam that are not on my friend list. I’m able to play with Friend with regular purchased version of the game. Please help solving this issue as without it I’m unable to convince him to buy this game :)

If you can't see it over the Play button, restart the blizzard app. I've been wrestling with this issue all evening with a friend. We're both trialing from Finland and have both language and regions set to English EU on the blizzard app. Yet Destiny 2 clearly puts at least me on the US servers since in-game I can see my US friends list, while the blizzard app is clearly showing my EU friends list when I alt-tab to it. Hard to tell where it puts him since I'm his only friend on the app on EU, but judging by the fact he can't see anyone on Friends in-game, he's not on the EU server either. Also he can't login to the US region on the app so I could add him there... I've searched around and apparently region is only selectable if you've bought the game, not for trial(see the imgur link in comments): https://www.reddit.com/r/destiny2/comments/7g9bog/how_to_change_server_region/ Why this is, I have no idea and really hope they are able and willing to fix this before the trial is over.

Also my friend is unable to change region on free version. If I’m on home region with is Europe I can se him but he appears to be not playing Destiny 2 or any other game, when he is in Overwatch i can se that he starts Overwatch. So it looks like free players don’t appear as playing Destiny that’s why you cannot add them to team. On American region I don’t se him at all.
