<We'd totally win if the -blam!-ing Hive didn't have that Taken shit.>
English
-
I see your point, but raise you the slaughter on the Moon.
-
The Hive probably wouldn't have even been an enemy in the game if it weren't for the Taken power. Weren't the Ecumene or whatever whooping the Hive's asses before the Taken came into play?
-
Who are these Ecumene?
-
The Ecumene were an empire defined as masters of physical law (the Vex have a higher mastery than them though). They were the second major enemy the Hive faced and were encountered 20,000 years after the Hive left Fundament. With their military force known as the War Angels they were able to completely crush the Hive assault and push them back into their thrown worlds. In the end they were only defeated because Auryx (soon to be Oryx) killed his sister’s and the Worm god Akka so that he could speak with the Darkness, which in turn taught him how to Take After that the Ecumene were slaughtered (this brought back Oryx’s sisters from even their true deaths) and eradicated so thoroughly that no knowledge of them exists anywhere aside from in the Books of Sorrrow, in the knowledge of Toax, and in the knowledge of the Vex
-
One of the races the Hive decimated with the Taken power.
-
Yes if Oryx hadn’t learned to Take the Ecumene probably would’ve killed the Hive year’s ago
-
Well it would be a whole lot easier to win, but the Hive are still powerful without the Taken
