Incoming Developer Commentary about Destiny.
Hey, there.
Tomorrow, we had planned to conduct the final stream prior to the launch of “Curse of Osiris” to show off some of the weapons and armor the expansion includes. Instead, we are investing all our efforts into delivering some higher priority information about Destiny 2. You’ll hear from studio leadership about their assessment of Destiny all up, they’ll talk about our goals for the game going forward, and you’ll also learn about how we’re reacting to your feedback with some game updates that will arrive in the next few weeks.
That will appear on the Bungie Blog on Wednesday.

3 RepliesIt would be nice if you actually address the concerns of the community instead of ignoring them like you usually do. The game has such potential and we all hope it becomes what we envisioned. Start with making players feel powerful again!

I obviously understand that this post is redundant, just want to get it of my chest. Please return fun back to D1's level 1) Make abilities strong again, for example shoulder charge should be OHK, stickies OHK, etc 2) Make supers strong again 3) Decrease cool downs on abilities to D1 level 4) Return to D1 weapon loadout, nerf shotguns and fusions to D1 state if needed and reintroduce special ammo crates in pvp 5) Bring 6x6 and all modes that we used to enjoy 6) Bring back LMGs (I remember Thunderlord videos from before D1 launch) 7) Make primaries as strong as they were in D1 And you can do it in separate crucible list, so only who likes this gameplay plays and who likes D2 changes plays "new" PVP. P.S. 1) I continue to play D1 2) I am not asking to remove anything from the game I am advocating adding an option for those who'd like to enjoy it.

I personally love(ed, I'm not playing it anymore) Destiny 2 but I want to see the community keep complaining because, if it changes the game, it's like rolling the dice. I don't care which direction it goes. Just keep it fresh.

6 RepliesDeej, I've got a pretty big and important request that probably needs the most immediate attention. Can we tone down the Titan shoulder pads? Every single pair is massive. I miss my TTK iron banner gauntlets.. also, if you could return pretty much all of the things that made D1 amazing, that'd be great. Thanks

5 RepliesI'm sure these have been asked but being annoying gets sh*t done. 1.What's so hard about adding a run of the mill MMR ladder system? 2. Make strikes repeatable and harder each time you complete them. Something similar to WoW's Mythic Keystones. I really don't see what is so difficult about adding this from a developer standpoint. Each run the adds will increase in numbers, higher life totals, some sort of environment change, bosses will get 1 new ability to dodge, etc etc. You guys are the developers, figure it out. 3. There's a long list of QOL changes i wont list but are obvious. Get on it. Everything i mentioned is relatively simple to implement and not sure why it hasn't been done yet.

i hate to do this but no one else seems to have picked up on this... in the last twitch stream You've done your job DeeJ, said what you've been told to say or what you believed to be true but you didn't count on the game itself speaking out. the people in charge seem to be sooo full of themselves that they didn't bother reviewing the captured content and made you look like a fool (I only pray that wasn't on purpose). don't worry, in my eyes you did great. now after seeing how much crap you've gotten from the community the one man that was supposed to be on the stream that i'm sure MANY waited to see... chickened out (i'm looking at you Luke), because it looks like his ass is more important than the entire company, bravo. now we're going to get a blog post, something that can be carefully crafted because there's no real time restriction as a live stream has. I don't know who's in charge of marketing and whether they are directed by the same lead as others but my god man what in the world made you think this was a better idea ? the game is in trouble and instead of facing the public you're hiding behind a curtain. shame on you Luke you're nothing but a .... cat and between this and your past, you've really shown us how much of an amateur you are. the fire in my heart grows and i'm not sure if I want to put it out. the sad thing is, others will burn with you. ps. all the best Cozmo

Deej, on the off chance you all at bungie actually see this, I would love to see you guys address the lack of damage output in pve with the weapon slot changes. I know there are a lot of people out there saying change it back, and even more suggestions on what to do. I'd imagine it wouldn't exactly be easy to tweak but there has to be a better way to make the guns we are using matter. I feel like if you're using an autorifle in both kinetic and energy slots, assuming they're the same archetype, there should be a lot more of a difference damage wise in pve. I'd also love the idea of adding more weapons of all different types by expanding on current ones and also adding back lmgs

Big picture feedback: I do think it'd be cool if, in addition to quality of life changes, you guys move toward a single shared world shooter experience. Having a massive game and continual content would help those quality of life changes be more impactful and allow Destiny to grow into something more. D2 was supposed to fix Destiny 1's flaws. It may have taken steps backwards, but use this opportunity to grow and cultivate Destiny (the world, franchise, etc.) into something more and a game that could be more than a ten year experience. After all, we've had a rebootish sequel that made the first three years pointless.

I miss the days that I played raids, POE to 4 am in the morning and getting up to feed my little guardians at 6 am. It was worth every missed sleeping hour, I miss those days and want them back.
