WTF D1 vanilla had 42 trophies but D2 has only 14.
I can't believe D2 has so much less content and objectives when compared to D1 vanilla. Its 4th gen too so the games and thus trophies and objectives should be more, not less. This is another example of why the community is salty at the moment, and I don't blame them for feeling like that. By the way the 42 trophies don't include any of the TK or RoI trophies and if you don't believe go count then for yourself.

2 RepliesReally? That’s a shit complaint, even as an achievement/trophy hunter myself, that’s a pretty shit complaint. In a current time where people are getting shitty about things being too easy to get rewards because everyone gets a participation trophy (making the actual winners trophies somewhat redundant) I really don’t mind D2 having much fewer achievements/trophies because a rather vast amount were story related for just completing certain missions or doing something easy but just takes a little while to do like be on the winning team on a match a certain number of times... And this situation actually proposes this question. “If all achievements and trophies were suddenly cut from all future games, would you continue to be a gamer?” If you would say no and the only reason you Game is for the reward of achievements and trophies then that’s just sad. Games didn’t have anything until the 360 and ps3, do they really [i]need[/i] them now to still be fun?

You can get the other trophies for 1000 silver at eververse or the deluxe DLC digital down load that come with two pop tarts

Easiest platinum iv gotten (also my first). But to be fair D1 had stupid trophies like "kill 3 of each guardian in a crucible match" and other stupid pvp relates trophies that rely more on luck than any actual objective

Like the rest of the game the achievements system is lacklustre and a sign of the rush to release D2. We should also have had record books btw to complement achievements and give us something to do! There could have been very simple achievements added as in other games eg looted all lost sectors, discovered all regional chests, completed 100/1000 challenges, ranked up a vendor 50 times, discovered all exotics armour on one character. It’s not hard to come up with these. People bashed grimoire in D1 but in the background these were giving us small buffs after many hours of gameplay (increased engram drops / glimmer). This is another simple system that would have given players something to do during the quiet times. In D1 there were boards where you could see the items you had collected and what items you still had to collect. This has disappeared in D2 so collectors have little idea of how far they are through this grind (without 3rd party sites). Just some very simple thoughts on increasing grind in D2. Unfortunately these are luxuries at the moment as there are so many other core elements of the game are mediocre.

Must be part of the new generation of “everyone should get a participation medal” people. Who gives a crap about a trophy you get for meaningless accomplishments and no one ever noticed that in D1 you had 1 or 45 trophy’s I doubt they would care in D2.

I’m not defending D2 or anything but all the trophies are either silver or gold quality. D1 had way more trophies but most were bronze so it balances it out in a way, but I see your point.
