Content of the DLC aside, do we really want to send the message to Bungie and Activision that we will buy their product no matter what? With all the uproar about Microtransactions, and the deliberately rigged Experience points system I think it's a good time to put the foot down.

Not buying it until i see it all. If all there is has been shown in the livestreams, nope.

15 RepliesBought the season pass. Disputed charge with my CC company (told them I was lead to purchase with false pretenses) = cancelled instantly with no push back. At least my bank has my back!

6 RepliesI believe that question has already been answered..... by Bungie. The cancellation of the live stream speaks volumes. Seriously, has anyone EVER known Bungie to give up a "hype-train" opportunity? There MUST be serious concerns behind the closed doors of Bungie/Activi$ion right NOW. There is NO other reason for the 'hype-stream' being cancelled other than absolutely dismal DLC sales and/or a whole lot of cancellations/refunds. Money talks folks..... always has, always will.

Nothing changes all this crap happened in D1 yet people bought all the dlcs
-
I really want to boycott it because of how disgusted I am with the current state of the game, but Destiny 1 was such a good experience and I love the franchise so much I am willing to STOMACH what garbage bungie puts out this year. I am slightly optimistic for year 2, but I just wanna play more destiny man.
-
Yep, won’t be buying anymore dlc. I will wait and see what happens to this game. There are other games out there that will keep me busy.
-
I loved D1 and went balls deep with d2 buying the base game and two expansions. Very disappointed and hope the new DLC will be better. I'm killing zaNi computer generated sprites in wolfenstein 2 instead.
-
When I bought the game it came with the season pass... Or I guess the first 2 expansions... I guess ill give it a shot.. Dont see how it can be any worse than what it already is.. Lol... At least I hope not 😂

It will be the first one every member of my clan has not bought. A lot of us were here since D1 beta, and it's sad that we just can't even force ourselves to be excited about the game or company anymore. I honestly can't even say I'd be excited if it were free. If they want this game to cater to the CoD crowd, they don't want gamers like us to be invested. PvE is a mess, every step forward in D1 turned into two backwards in D2, and it's clear Bungie just wants to milk the success of their first game for microtransactions (and aren't afraid to lie and scheme to do that). They'll turn on their selective hearing like they always do, and listen to the fanboys who are completely ok paying for anything they put out, and continue on the same route. Then when even those fanboys get bored and go back to (insert generic military fps here), they'll end up selling free-to-play games on Android. I hope I'm wrong, but if I had stock in Bungie, I'd sell it immediately after their little stream today, while someone might still be fooled into thinking they're making a comeback.

3 RepliesEdited by Trip: 11/29/2017 1:18:01 PMI will not be buying. The Curse of Osiris should be free update to apologise for how bad d2 was. No way would i pay for anything more from this game. I believe mercury will have nothing there and it will be a planet know one will go to once the missions have all been completed. Give it 2weeks after the new dlc and d2 will be dead once again...
-
See you on Mercury

2 RepliesIt wouldn’t do anything... and I payed for the dlc over 6 months ago, so it’s not like I can boycott anyways.
-
I got the pass but i never gonna play again

1 ReplyEdited by ravager-911: 11/29/2017 1:06:32 PMIf I hadn’t already purchased the season pass, I would have considered it, but I did so I’ll be playing. Doesn’t change my distaste for this abomination.
-
I really don't think it matters if you have an "Official Boycott" or not. The people who won't be buying it will not buy it, and the people who want to buy it (or those who got the Collector's Edition) will get it. I myself am in the "Not Buying" camp.
-
5 RepliesWell, yes. And all of D2

3 RepliesUninstalled this shit a month ago not bothering with DLC even though I got pre-order digital bonus expansions

16 RepliesYeah, have fun with that. Let me know what it’s like on the other side of the picket line. I’ll be busy playing CoO. Uproar over Micros is stupid because a) it’s all cosmetic as has no relevance to game play and b) it’s all found free. This “uproar” over scaling down xp in easy to farm PEs sounds pretty fair to me. If I ran those all day and had an easier, faster time at making the same amount of XP as the PvP, raid and strike farming folks I’d think they’d be upset. I imagine the only folks complaining about the micros are the folks who “need” the cosmetic crap to feel “special” in the digital world which are probably the same folks who have cried since D1 that they don’t like micros. Bungie has stated since micros made their appearance in Destiny that they would be cosmetic only and they’ve held true to their word. BF2 was trying to screw their people over with locked game relevant content, Bungie ain’t doing that no matter how much you folks cry about it.

3 RepliesI know I am not buying the curse for a while at least not till later on next year or expansion 2 releases. The game just came out on pc, it would. E cool if they gave us the dlc pvp for free at least just so we don’t get separated playlists

Edited by dotEXCEL: 11/29/2017 11:37:05 AMdo what ever the -blam!- you want man xD u are the customer, u pay for their bills.

Yes. I’d recommend waiting until the spring update to buy anything from Bungie. Give them some time to respond to community feedback and make improvements to D2. If no meaningful improvements are made then it might be time to give up on Bungie. However I’m hoping that by the spring update they’ve made significant changes and the DLCs will be bundled at a reduced price. We shall see.

Well I bought the Limited edition which I think includes both expansions 1 & 2, so It might be a bit difficult for myself to boycott buying Curse of Osiris. Lets hope the game gets improved over the next two mini expansions.
