Its so weak compared to the other Supers. It takes to long for it to take effect that people mostly run away, no burst damage, and easily destroyed.
I love running Nightstalker and its great for PvE, but what a useless Super for PvP.

1 ReplyNo it doesn’t. You’re just not using it correctly. Be more mindful of when and how to use it. If you’re using it against 1 lone guardian then re-think that strategy. Wait until 2 or 3 are bunched up, pop it, then go invisible. Then take them all out while tethered.
-
7 RepliesNightstalkers dodge and smoke make it the most OP PvP class in the game. It’s the one class that isn’t about the super.
-
Yea I main nightstalker and only have 43 kills with super 😂😂
-
Yeah I use the nightstalker hunter anc I just don’t even worry about my super in pvp it sucks
-
Arrows need a one hit kill or Sam close to it. Especially for the one arrow mode. Quiver should be a near death shot if not a kill. It's a trade between the super and the 19 second invis recharge now though.
-
Yeah its not very consistent. It should kill on hit as well.
-
4 RepliesNightstalker is the most op class in the game.

1 ReplyEdited by ruddieman: 11/27/2017 3:20:10 PMOnce tethered a full fireteam in trials and shot one with my fusion. Insta-killed the whole fireteam. It's not bad. The class is the best at neutral play out of all the subclasses and if used effectively, very powerful. Sure it doesn't one shot anymore and has a slow reaction time, but you are able to adapt to it. 90% of the time I use this subclass in pvp. But it was weeks ago since I've played a match...too bad.
-
Only thing i don't like about it is that tethered kills don't count as super kills and since it's a one shot you don't get credit for killing someone while it's active.
-
I really like the night stalker. Good fun to play but the super is so underwhelming to the point it needs that artefact that gives it up for double smokes/grenades. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve tether someone in their super or tethered, they pop super, kill me then they get caught by it. Sure, give Fist of panic roaming but take away the ability to suppress or bait it. Sounds fair. Give them double instant death grenades too. Plus it’s a good idea to take the grenade throw icon off the radar so you don’t know you are standing in one until you are dead. But I digress.
-
Way of the Trapper should stay as is, its a trap. It should be invisible to enemies until its triggered though instead of pulsing bright purple across the planet because .. you know .. TRAP. Moebius Quiver should make tether trigger instantly wherever it hits.
-
1 ReplyI was playing a dawnblade yesterday. I used my super, flung a firewave, but someone shot a tether at me. They collided midair then I got tethered, and he shot me. It was pretty neat.
-
i 1v1ed this nightstalker earlier today and he used his panicshot and hit me clean on the chest disorienting the crap out of me in the process, i was surprised by how fast i was able to start shooting back let alone get the kill, shadowshot should really kill on impact, its a frigging VOID arrow so i dont know maybe hunters are just weak sauce or bungie simply hates them
-
Also doesnt help that it gets 1 hit destroyed by a fist of panic even before it activates. If you shoot your arrow and they pop FoH 2 seconds later ,they will still destroy your tether bofore it activates. It should be immune untill 3 seconds after activation. Also doesnt help that it doesnt decrease the damage that enemies deal. And it doesnt supress on impact.
-
Not to mention how short the stealth is... The super also takes time before shots are fired and upon impact the anchors have a delay of up to 1 second before they latch onto targets... Not to mention the chains fade the instant they get behind the smallest of covers even a titan barrier breaks the chain and the shadowshot ball can be destroyed... Oh and did i say its damage is by far the weakest even if it permits weakness shots... Try and hit a Striker Titan... even if you hit in front of his feet he is out of its range long before its chains activate... A perfect shot with shadowshot cannot even kill most in their ultimate even tho there are plenty ultimates that work like improved rocket launchers or kill within 0.5 once in range or when touched the arrows are just weak and slow.... firing multiple arrows causes you to drift often outside of the small pvp maps not to mention ur at high risk being immobile in the air for long...
-
So does XP throttling, but apparently that just doesnt matter to you guys!
-
Hunter crybabies are back
-
I think it’s fine. The only thing I would change: direct hit should kill on impact. It’s not a massive change and I’m sure everybody would agree.
-
Screw the Super. Use Dodge Invis, smoke and Sword. Better than the dam Super.
-
They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.

1 ReplyOk, ok, I see what's happening here You're face to face with greatness, and it's strange You don't even know how you feel It's adorable! When the nights got cold Who stole you fire from down below You're lookin' at him, yo Oh, also I lassoed the sun You're welcome! To stretch the days and bring you fun Also I harnessed the breeze You're welcome! You should be using it to cancel others supers... I think it and the defender bubble are the last support supers.
-
1 ReplyTime and a place. Most usefull on heavy spawn usally 2 or 3 scrubs waiting. I use it and get a double if not triple everytime.
-
Just like arcstrider. The super sucks, but the neutral game is great.
-
Pretty potent. It’s great for shutting down roaming supers and groups of heavy hungry noobs. Earlier today I got a 4 man team wipe tethering through a doorway. Just be glad that you get blood borne for free now, as well as a smoke bomb that shows up as an enemy on the radar. Apart from the loss of shadestep, I’d say NS is better now than in D1

6 RepliesEdited by Jacusky: 11/27/2017 6:26:57 PMShadowshot is a utility/counter super. There are different kinds of supers. ROAMING - These are supers that transform your character into an empowered form and allow you to roam around the area. These include the Striker, Sunbreaker, Arcstrider, Dawnblade and Stormcaller. These are generally considered the most "powerful" supers. BURST - These are supers that you "fire and forget," they are spent either immediately after use or a very short time after. These include the Voidwalker and the Gunslinger (though the Gunslinger is kind of a mix between ROAMING and BURST). They typically have exotics or talents associated with them that allow them to charge faster. SPECIAL - These are supers that don't really fit into one of the other types because they aren't typically used for their damage output and aren't especially powerful. These are the Sentinel and Nightstalker. The Sentinel's super is very defensive with a limited ranged capability, no speed boost and a short range of attack it's greatest strength is its ability to protect itself and allies from other supers and forms of damage. The Nighstalker is a powerful suppression, anchor and disorientation super. It's strength is not in damage or defense but in its ability to great inhibit the abilities of its victims. It prevents the use of abilities, disables sprinting, disorients aim and increase damage the afflicted targets take. In short, the Nighstalker super is fantastic but you have to use it differently than you would other supers. It's more of a trap that you spring to make a person or team far more susceptible to defeat or to shut down another super. Yes, it works on the Striker too, you just have to land it between jumps instead of one he's in the middle of one. Jump up and away, wait for him to land, fire the shot and you have a grounded Striker.
