Does Bungie ever punish those who AFK during PvP matches and run a BOT program to not get the AFK disconnect?
I have reported several people.

These guys sound more helpful than the team mates who I get running into 4 man firing squads on the same lane over and over and over and over again....

2 RepliesYeah I doubt it without a ton Of people reporting. That said I even report in pve areas. It's the most annoying thing to me when someone who isn't new to the game will go sit in an area that specifically blocks enemies from spawning that are needed for patrols. Especially on Titan when the enemies we need to kill for some are very finicky and only specific ones in the group will drop the patrol pickups so you slip that patrol, come back ten minutes later and they still haven't budged.

1 ReplyNot really punish, more the game will kick anyone who is AFK for more than I think five minutes?
-
2 RepliesUhm, why is AFK farming bad? I personally never do it because it just wastes energy and lifetime of the device you‘re farming with — but if the choice is between losing your own lifetime or that of a bot (like it is in D2 - no endgame): why not use a bot? Why do YOU not bot and spare yourself some time to something more interesting?

I saw a few AFK players during Iron Banner matches this weekend. They were on both my team and the opposing team. There is an area on the Javelin-4 map where they were standing, not far from the power ammo station. Spawns do not occur where these players were standing. They were farming tokens using a slow method.

1 ReplyI think people are AFK, because they know they have to wait a long time for a new match to begin. In the mean while, they go to the toilet, make a sendwich, maybe even take a fast shower or something like that.

Short answer; no.

4 RepliesI seriously doubt anyone would use a bot program to afk... and if they wanted to punish people for being afk they would've rewarded people based on performance, which they've never done.
