I am now getting screen tearing while playing Destiny 2. This just started a couple days previous to this post. I did not change any settings at all on Destiny or on my graphics card. I have continuously been using "Fast" Sync on my Nvidia GTX 1070 with Vsync set to "Off" in game. Out of no where I am now getting constant screen tearing on every combination of settings. Vsync 60 in game = tearing, Vsync 30 in game = tearing, Vsync Off = tearing. Graphics card Vsync, Fast Sync, and Adaptive Sync all give me screen tearing. It seems that this was just introduced and no hardward/software settings can fix it. Hoping this is fixed or a solution already exists.

1 ReplyHi there, Are you still encountering this issue? Have you already attempted any troubleshooting steps? If you have not already, you may want to try the following troubleshooting steps: - Close and relaunch the Destiny 2 client and Blizzard application - Ensure you have updated your drivers to their most recent versions and accepted all Windows updates - Delete your existing CVARS.xml file using the guide here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46407

2 RepliesSwitch to Borderless / Windowed Fullscreen. Either of those modes fixes the tearing. Keep Vsync on, OR use Nvidia Inspector (Not Afterburner) to limit your framerate to your monitor's refresh rate. It is also a good idea to limit the framerate from the game's own Cvars file.

3 RepliesEdited by Obliviate: 11/25/2017 5:38:51 AMwhat kind of cable and monitor are you using man? do you have display port? it may sound absurd but a poor or damaged hdmi cable can do that (even though its a digital signal). try a different one and see if that helps

2 RepliesOne way to do fix this would be to cap the framerate with a tool such as Msi Afterburner, and leave vsync off ingame.
